“I really like this spot! Just a few miles in when taking the road to the keys. The private beach is great for the kids. As long as you are consuming in the restaurant you can be there. They close at 4 the service on weekdays and 6.30 on weekends. But you can stay at the beach. Prices are affordable and the food is very tasty. Also very good service!”

“We had an ocean view room, clean, quiet, and walking distance to a restaurant and jet ski rentals. Having a vehicle is a must, whether it's your own, rental, or Uber. Staff was polite and pool, hot tub, was well cared for. There is a private "beach", kayaks, fishing rods that you can use free of charge. Over all it was a great stay”

“We stayed here 4 nights. All I can say is, it's an oasis. No one bothers you. You can opt for daily room service if you want but other than that, you pretty much have it to yourself. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have kayaks and paddle boats to go out on the water. Great sunset's every night. Large pool and hot tub. Perfect for a romantic getaway.”

“My best friend and I wanted to get away for a few days to do some scuba diving and booked this resort based solely on the reviews — man are we glad we did!! The website pics don’t do this place justice - hands down the most perfect little spot, from the just right private beach to the sunset views to the cleanliness and hospitality, we can’t wait to come back! The free Breakfast was perfect every day and we were able to use both our grille and kitchenette so we could stay onsite for our meals and soak up the resort as much as possible… absolutely loved this perfect place and will definitely be back!!! “This was my first time to the Keys, so my girlfriend and I stopped in to maybe get a map and possibly some ideas. Instead, what we got was Michael. Michael spent the next 30ish minutes walking us through all the best attractions on the 1. More impressive than his knowledge of the Keys was the fact he was able to write upside down while maintaining conversation. He provided us with an incredible map (see photos) with an abundance of info, again all written upside down and by memory. Michael, if you see this, you absolutely made our trip 100% better. Thank you.”

“We stopped in Key Largo for a few of hrs on our way to Key West and we’re pleasantly surprised with this stay. At the price point, we assumed it was a 3 star stay but it was great! The room was 2 floors with a bathroom and a half. The balcony overlooked the canal with live music just across the water. The staff was all wonderful and the room was so clean. We would absolutely stay here again.”

“My fiance and I booked a private charter for a weekend. The guys at Morning Star gave us a Catalina 22’ (vessel name Key Largo Cottage). We had the pleasure of witnessing manatees swim beside our sailboat rental. It was truly a joy to sail it over the course of 2 days. With our ASA certifications, the bay was a delight to navigate. Many sailboats are anchored, and the waters were filled with people who love the ocean. The team gave us all the equipment and info we needed. Waking up each morning and seeing it docked at our property pier helped make our wedding weekend a dream come blue. Next time we’re in the Florida Keys, we will most certainly support Morning Star again.”

“I loved staying here. Has a kitchenette that allows for budget travelers to eat efficiently while on the island. The AC was wonderful and the owners are very kind. Ed is very funny and got us cracking up a few times. The only downside I could see was that the water pressure was less than perfect. Loved it and will be visiting again!”

“The Bennett's property was exactly what I needed for the first few days of my trip. I was looking for some solitude right next to the water to get away from "it all" and decompress. This place was perfect! Close enough to everything, but once you were inside the gate it felt isolated. The family was warm and inviting throughout my stay. “The service was the best I’ve seen in a decade. Everyone was as nice and friendly as they could be! Fantastic location. You can’t beat the sunset views (see photo)! We used the dive boat for two days of diving. It is very convenient to walk out of your room and get on the boat. Also, the rinse tub and dry locker was a great amenity. The crew on the dive boat were also phenomenal. Super friendly, informative and helpful. Fun times on the boat. Great crowd. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. My room was newly remodeled, fresh and clean. The A/C had no problem keeping up. The only knock I can say is the walls are a little thin and you can hear neighbors slamming doors and hear their probably too loud TVs - not really the hotels fault. Want to go back in the future.”

“We stayed for 25 days… we called to reserve for this many days and they found us seven different spots! We didn’t mind moving as we met and made many friends. This is an “Old Keys” park with many long term residents and many RV spots. Bigger rigs will find it challenging, but when “Michael” is working you will do just fine fitting into your spot. The beach area is really nice…. with accommodation of chaise lounges and chairs. Sunsets are unbelievable.😎”

“From the moment we arrived the stay was just perfect. I cannot describe in words the satisfaction from our stay. Throughout booking Jenn was very communicative and when we arrived was very welcoming and helpful in making our stay feel like home. The amenities provided by the property is unmatched. The snorkeling around the waters is beautiful with mangroves just a short 20 minute kayak trip away. The staff is all very laid back, helpful and friendly. The key lime sailing staff truly creates an experience I feel cannot be topped. Any trip taken back down to the keys will be spent right where we spent this one. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!”

“After having to deal with living in a Sun Communities neighborhood it was such a pleasure to move to this neighborhood. The ownership is accommodating, responsive, friendly and actually cares about their residents. Hate that we had to leave the area and should we return we will be looking to come back to one of their locations. As with everything there were issues but they were dealt with correctly and in a timely manner. I really did not expect the owner to show up at 10pm on a Saturday to unclog a sewer line for us. Got it handled and replaced the drainage pipe the next day. Great people, great location and great residents. Hope to be back someday soon.”

“Had our wedding here. Could not have asked for more. Truly amazing space. Lush greenery throughout gives awesome Jurassic park vibes and the waterfront hang out spaces are truly serene. Pool was great for kids and adults alike. Lana and rest of staff were great, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Interiors, grand lodge especially, are spacious and beautifully designed. Highly recommended! Give it a visit if considering - we were hooked after our first visit and it did not disappoint!”

“I had an incredible seven days of classes and on-the-water instructions from outstanding instructor Capt. Barnard Meyer. We were able to rapidly go from minimal knowledge of sailing to feeling very confident in our abilities. I was able to take the 101/103/104 classes in sequential order during the week. I would recommend this for anyone that wishes to charter bare-back sailing or just to be ready for having fun. After seven days of on-the-water training of man-over-board drills, tacks/jibes, you get very comfortable with what you have been taught. We were able to sail past the Key Lime Sailing Club ATON fixed beacons with confidence with narrow clearance. The trip up through the ICW (intercostal waterway) was an excellent way to measure our progress by charting our course and validating what we were taught. Please give yourself this gift, and take the sailing lessons that you will treasure. Bonus: If you stay at the Key Lime Sailing Club units, after you pass your 101 classes, you can take the sailboats out yourself for extra fun and learning, as they are included in the cost.”

“A lovely little spot to spend your vacation. A very quiet small resort with smaller rooms that are well equipped for a longer stay with full kitchenettes, dishes, and refrigerators. The beach is small but beautiful and has plenty of seating. The restaurant next door had amazing Italian cuisine as well if you don't feel like cooking. The staff is friendly and happy to accommodate your needs. I would definitely stay here again. Pro tip- if you are a light sleeper I would not recommend the divers dens because they are near the road and there is some road noise. The coves and beach houses are further into the resort and are very peaceful. If you sleep heavy the divers dens are an awesome option as they are a little roomier.”

“Stayed here one night. Love it! It appeared to be a motel but it has a lot of details to make the stay relaxing. Rooms are extremely clean and refresh. The private beach is so clean and well-equipped seating, with kayaks, toys, pingpong table, lovely canopies. Beautiful and quiet spot for enjoying the sunset view. Also, they have a self-service high end coffee machine (using Starbucks beans) for coffee, espresso, hot chocolate at your finger any time for free! Never had that even in the large high end hotels. Check in and out was a breeze and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Will stay again!”

“Very nice place, I was reading reviews and most are saying there are no space for r.v’s that it’s like a can of sardines. That’s not the case there are very large properties with plenty of space. I stayed in a very large corner lot across from the park with my family in our 40ft rv with 2 vehicles and a boat on the property we were there for a month and had plenty to do. Our kids made lots of friends, there is a food truck with a good menu selection, and a beautiful spot by the marina to sit down and look at the sunset. I will definitely be coming back!!!”
