“Family Tides- Once Upon A Tide Our family just completed an awesome 3 week vacation in Siesta Key. The upgrades that were done on the property with the lounge chairs around the pool, the deck chairs on the balcony and the new sleeper sofa in our unit were very much appreciated. The pool was well heated and kept very clean. We really appreciated the great support we received from Dawn and the entire Beachside Management staff when we had questions or wanted to make future reservations. We look forward to returning again for a 3rd straight year next Spring.”

“Very friendly people. Although it's very disturbing that the Amish community has moved in at a rapid pace and has been noticed by myself and many other residents, that there has been an odd and aggressive approach at wanting to get together and push the non-Amish residents out at what seems like a plan to create available space for likewise people. Before I voiced this, I made sure to look at myself to ensure there was validity and no opinion. Many other residents have noticed this before my view was mentioned to them. I will not let this continue. I will push back and had better be taken as no worse than their current push.”

“Was an amazing place to stay. It was perfect and a safe area for our kids. Maintenance was great the security guys are the best and were there 24 hours. Everything was perfect except the office lady inside. She was rude and made you feel extremely unwelcome. Our villa was so beautiful inside and you knew you were at the beach. I recommend you look at pics of the villa you want to stay in, because they are owned by different people. So every villa is going to be different inside.”

“Camped at Big Flats with my family the weekend of April 15th. The campsite is very nice with a fair amount of shade in the spots. The sites are a little small compared to other state parks, but not tiny. They are trying to grow new foliage between the sites and it was pretty clear there was a lot of damage to the trees from Hurricane Ian in 2022. The host, Peter, was friendly and helpful. Other campers were respectful of the quiet time. Bathrooms were dated but very clean. I would stay here again but probably wait until the weather is cooler as it was very hot in the day and there is no water area like a lake or spring to cool off. The Myakka Lake is FILLED with gators so there is no swimming. Incredible sunsets from just down the street over Big Flat Marsh where we saw deer, turkey and gators.”

“A perfect Getaway, perfect host, perfect stay! This is the second time we have vacationed at the Old Man & the Sea Inn. If you want an easy, relaxing trip look no further. Literally steps from the beach. Such a convenience to be so close to the beach and be able to run back for lunch, a drink or a bathroom break when you are soaking in the glorious sun. I can't say enough about the host Dan. He is literally a text away to quickly respond about choices of restaurants, suggestions, or anything you might need. There are so many beach chairs for you to choose from, sand toys for the kids, boogie boards - all for each guest to use. The rooms are clean, spacious enough, and perfect for your vacation needs. You truly don't even need a car (although every room has a parking spot). We used instacart to deliver our groceries and plopped ourselves on the beach. At night you could venture out and take the free jitney into town. The beach is amazing. Picture perfect. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here so much and we will definitely be back!!!!”

“We just got home and this was the best vacation in a long while. Place was clean, cute as could be, and we may so many friendly people staying here. Steps from the gorgeous white sand, and just steps the other way to the pool. We love that it is far enough from the village to be out of the crowds down there but so close to the trolley you can be there in no time at all. Our unit was beautiful and we loved having a spot to hang our suits out back to dry after a day of fun!”

“We have stayed here several times. First time was back in August of 2006. It has never disappointed us. Quick walk to the beach. The pool, hot tub and outdoor amenities are great. There are grills to cook on and the landscaping makes you feel like you're in a tropical retreat! We love staying here and we have referred many friends to this place. The condos have all seemed updated and very clean. So much to do in the area. This place a little distance from the downtown area, but the beach and area is not real busy and is very relaxing. They supply chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Their sometimes even other beach toys available as well. You should definitely consider staying here!”

“We are frequent visitors at the Buckingham Club. This year , we spent an extended period of time with residents. Mike and Sandy, the managers were amazing. They were fantastic ambassadors for Buckingham Club. Under the circumstances, they made our stay fun and relaxing. In addition to Mike and Sandy, the inclusive nature was also seen in the other residents. They invited us (and our children) to events like shuffleboard tournaments & other outdoor activities while safely social distancing. We cannot say enough good things about our time at Buckingham Club. We highly recommend it!”

“Sarasota Surf & Racquet Club was nice not luxury nice but, pretty clean, had everything we needed and close to the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bathrooms had plenty of towels and the bed was comfortable. If you are going for a trip and don't care about frills and being on the beach...this was a pretty great location and on the trolly route as well as all the top powered rides. It was definitely worth the trip.”

Reasonable rates, fully equipped kitchen, very clean, and within walking distance to beach and restaurants/shopping. I would highly recommend this location for anyone is looking for a relaxing getaway without the bustle of a big hotel and everything within walking distance. especially with price of gas these days.”
