The 1st bite sent this place, Doghouse, to the TOP of my list right under the favorites. I'm upset to write this review without proof of the masterpiece in photos. I promise to update this with photos when I have them available. We enjoyed the cheesy bread with a large pepperoni pizza with half sausage for the little ones. The ingredients complimented each other so perfectly. The entire pizza had crunch in all the right places. The owner made my daughter a garlic butter she requested that was out of this world. That entire pizza and bread recipe should be kept in a secret vault locked away forever. Doghouse is my new favorite place when I visit town from Georgia. I'm sorry, Humpavellis!”

“Excellent food and service. Pretty varied menu, from small plates and salads to entrees. A full bar and some delicious cocktails. I rarely drink anything but wine, but I tried a cocktail called Fall Into Brazil and it was outstanding. The Spicy Asian Wings (not hot spicy, just nicely spiced) were also delicious. All the food was good. It was cold and rainy when we went, but there is also a large amount of outdoor seating, and some of it is on a patio with lights strung about, would be very nice at night.”

“2 weeks late post (Before Ian hurricane) Kids definitely loved the atmosphere with all the preserved animals around. Kids also loved their kids menu. I ventured to try the alligator burger and it was a little harder meat compared to the beef burger. My wife loved the alligator chowder though. Pastas were great. The service was very good. A great place to eat especially if you want the feel of a cabin- out in the woods type of ambiance for lunch or dinner.”

“Enjoyed lunch sitting outside on a warm November afternoon. No one else around when we arrived. Server was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Everything prepared well and arrived quickly. Mahi-Mahi sandwich was cooked perfectly, flaky but not dried out. Bun was too thick for my liking, so I didn't eat most of that. Fries were awesome. Had a hot dog from here while on the beach another day. Not worth the money, but tasted good. Nachos looked very good (heard they were amazing). Menu isn't huge, but has a great variety for all tastes. Could use a few more beers on tap. Can't beat the view here, that's for sure!”

“My order was completely botched 3 weeks ago, and the two young girls were horse playing and rude at the joint. I called terribly upset because I put up with the lil kids at the restaurant, only to get home and realize my order was botched. I called to complain, but my daughter jumped on the call because she feared I was going to lose it. We asked for a manager and Ms Ashley (the manager) came on the scene. I’ve worked service jobs and I always maintain that a horrible start can still get you great reviews, if you handle conflict correctly. Well, Ms. Ashley was polite, apologetic and took immediate corrective action! I came back three weeks later and she kept her word. No attitude! She was pleasant and accommodating as ever, even though I showed up on a busy Saturday night and she was swamped! People have bad days and things do go wrong; however, how we fix conflict matters more than the offense itself. Go Ashley and thank you so much for your help. I left satisfied! Keep up the good work!”

“My husband and I want to share our experience with Just 1 Taste. We were planning a family gathering we had at Sailport Waterfont Suites during the Thanksgiving holiday and didnt know who to call. We are fairly new to Tampa so we were referred to them by the Office Manager at Sailport, I knew they were the real deal when I reviewed the catering menu, it was AMAZING!!! The food we served was even better than I imagined, so much mid west flavor. We planned months in advance and the owners made it very easy. The presentation was in chafers to keep the food warm, we served a seafood boil, fried fish, brisket, mashed potatoes, collard greens, Peach cobber(so good). We were able to tastfully serve our family thanks to Just 1 Taste. Everything was my favorite. “Finally got around to trying this place out in our area. Being from the northeast, any place that says they are serving up "Philly" cheesesteaks in FL should be tested. I must say, it's pretty darn close! The sandwich was really, really good! Probably the closest I've gotten down here to an authentic one back home. We tried the meatballs too and they were fantastic! “Absolutely love it! Arthur Solomon was obviously an absolute genius, a phenomenal artist in so many different mediums & techniques and a brilliant businessman. I was cycle touring through the area and saw a nondescript sign for "Solomon's Castle". On a whim, I decided to detour and check out the"aluminum castle". There was so much more than just an aluminum castle 🏰. When I arrived onto the property, I met the late Arthur Solomon's daughter, and she gave me permission to plug my gear in for recharging whilst touring the grounds and the castle. I didn't realize until later that she was his daughter, she was so humble I thought she just worked there. Stained glass windows, wooden artworks, a wooden ship that houses a restaurant, and innumerable other treasures all hand made by Arthur Solomon. And the property is still run by his family. What a tribute to a legendary man. The only thing missing, is not being able to meet the man himself, as he sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 81. How I would have loved to have been apprenticed to a genius of that caliber. 'I make things. Arthur Sanford Solomon".”
