“My husband and I rented this group shelter on June 24th and June 25th for our wedding and reception. The building itself had plenty of room. The only problem was there is no air conditioning and it's very hot inside. Our wedding and reception both were beautiful. The staff at the information desk where we picked up the keys wasn't courteous. They charged us for 20 parking passes and we was told if we took the unused ones back they would refund us for the unused ones. Well they never did and the manager still hasn't called.”

“Amazing park that consistently has wonderful activities for children. Also has an awesome public dog park so bring your furry friends. There are soccer and softball fields, picnic tables and a duck pond. They also have a sweet disc golf course that you can play all year long as it’s mostly shaded. My daughter and I have been coming here for years and the playground is perfect too. If you can manage to find the trail entrance there is also a wooded 1.5 mile creek trail called seven branches across the street at the corner of Eves and Holcomb.”

“A broad immaculately, serene area full of vivacious activity, a deck which over-looks the lake and an awning portion for grilling & entertainment. A lovely place in which a fair amount of hobbies can be enjoyed, even if simply to read or recline. I propose you arrange a small to explore this location; you won't be sorry”

“I've been here over the past 8 years. Unlike the Stone Mountain, it is free, less people, significantly bigger, has more trails, lakes, and different entrance points and views. Great for family or just after an exhausting day at work. Many people take their wedding pictures here, my brother included. I've encountered box turtle, deer, racoon, beaver, fox, and rabbit. Don't expect to see these many wildlife, animals are great at avoiding humans. I've been here well over 50 times. Check our the Stone Crest library, it's beautiful, almost like a church made of wood, and you could access trail from the parking lot.”

“Spacious trail I have ever walked on. Didn’t need to compete with the bikers. So quiet and shaded. Great Summer location to hike. Little short only 3 miles. But will be back to try those intermediate level trails. Should add up to 5 miles.”

“This park fit the bill for staying active in Douglasville. No excuses. Pool, walking trail, indoor gym and playground. Wednesdays and Thursdays 1-6 pm individuals indoor basketball. Anytime outdoor basketball court, football or soccer field. Reservation rooms for activitie s is probably required. Super clean restrooms. It would be great if some of the outdoor basketball goals were lowered for the younger ones. Keep the trash in the bins not on the ground please.”

“Excellent park! Great place to jog, walk your dog, and just enjoy nature. Highlights include a scenic pond with two vibrant water fountains, a covered bridge, shady nature trails that loop by the river, and a play ground for children. Various signs are posted along each path telling the history of the area or explaining the plant life.🪴 Like most parks in the region, this one is well-maintained with much thought to the details of its design. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here when you have the chance! Well worth your time.”

“Hiked The Allatoona Falls Trail. This is a nice walk. The hike takes you alongside the creek on a fairly easy path. The terrain is not difficult. Perfect for kids. You have to watch for mountain bikes at the beginning, but all were very respectful and careful of those on foot.”

“Absolutely love going there, nice get away in nature. Love going there. It's like taking a step away from everyday hassles WITHOUT driving a couple hours. The day we were there we seen a good bit of wildlife including a few reptiles. Saw deer all the way down to a couple of harmless snakes. One was a rat snake the other was a banded water snake. LOTS of different trails to walk. You can walk on high land or on wet lands.will be splitting our time between here and Nesmith.”

“This is the easiest rental place I've ever found! Because I'm a County resident, the price was better than right. My aunt is now deciding to have her retirement party there. They gave me no real clean up instructions so, of course, we try to leave it cleaner than we found it. The staff was so easy to work with!”

“Pleasant feelings after visiting this nature preserve park. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Full of long trees with small bridges along the trails. Two tree different trails are there. We walk through just one trail. Direction Signs are not visible and accurate. Scenic views are scattered on this park small water creeks are there. Not children friendly and stroller friendly trails. If you need quite environment and peaceful atmosphere must visit this park.”

“I love this park! It has walking trails, as well. It is very clean. I love that you can use the exercise equipment between your walk. Just don't forget the sanitizer (and cleaning cloth/paper towels). I have never seen the park crowded and the people I have seen were very friendly. Only thing I do not like is that the walking path is dirt and gravel, but as my husband pointed out, the dirt and gravel is better for walking than a paved trail. I don't know, I still kind of beg to differ on that. Lol!”

“Second time here. Booked at the last minute and had to take two different spots for each night stay. Ranger and staff were very nice. Had one noisy car with hopped up exhaust that I wish they would have banned from the park. Really like the place. The beach is great. Had a great time. Highly recommended!!!”

“This isn't a dog park first of all let's get this clear I go walking and take my dog there every morning, I don't drive so it easy for Marvel and I. My dog NEVER did number 2 but if he ever did I and a few others clean up after our dogs, however some of you give us a bad name so let's get this out the way ... CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG ... Now back to it .. clean and wonderful sporting Rec for the kids a place to walk around and lose some inches.. The guys who keep the area clean knows me so well that I always ask on their well being or how their day is going when ever I ran into them ... I just love this park.”
