“Enjoyable, but steep for inexperienced hikers... I enjoyed it but just beware it is uphill and if you have someone in your party who isn't as fit, things won't be as enjoyable. We pushed on and made it close to the top, but we did not go to the top because to reach the top there is another steep climb and our less experienced hikers were ready to turn around. Great views of the valley. We saw a lizard, birds, chipmunks, and a squirrel. The trail is well kept and again, for the inexperienced there were some narrow steep parts that made them a little nervous. Not crowded at all. A pleasant mountain hike.”

“Gayle and her son Daniel are some GREAT people! Gayle went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding! Her and her son Daniel were so great with answering questions and always respond quickly. If we needed help with something or just had some questions for her she was easy to get ahold of and a couple times stopped what she was doing to come help us out at the campsite. Her property is absolutely breath taking! Very open, very clean and just all around beautiful! I highly recommend going to her campground for your wedding or reunions!!”

“This park is great to get out of town a little bit, disconnect (there is no cell service) and paddle board with your pup. We love it cause dogs are welcome and it’s less crowded than Lucky Peak. Don’t get me wrong it gets busy on nice days but you can usually find parking in one of the two lots.”

“Lucky Peak State Park Spring Shores Unit is a 208-acre unit with a full service marina (298 rentable boat slips). It is located at the upper end of Lucky Peak Reservoir. The marina offers long-term moorage, fuel, marina supplies, restaurant, a convenience store, picnic area, swim beach and recreation equipment rentals. The large parking lots provide access to two boat ramps with parking for cars and trailers. The marina is the best place to enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, bird watching etc. It is only 25 minutes away from Boise. The marina is easily accessible from the parking area. I used to go there with my friends. The calm beautiful scenery here is just mesmerizing. If you are in Boise, It is a must place to visit.”

“A fun place to hike if you’re looking for somewhere nice to go for a day! For camping, it’s a bit close to the main dirt road, but not too bad.”
