Outfitted with special tires, bike lock, tire locks, new helmet, water bottle holder, and pump, he is now ready to jaunt around Chicago. The staff--many who helped us both in the front with sales and the back with service--were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient with my son who is new to biking, and helpful with suggestions on how best to prevent theft in the downtown environment. I bought a Trek 20 years ago for a sprint distance triathalon and remembered the quality of the bikes. Inspired by his lightweight and smooth gears on my son's new FX-1, I pulled out my classic Trek and it's scheduled for a tune up and new tires as well. It still rides great after all these years. “I went with my son and granddaughter to look at a new bike for her. There was a tent sale going on. We pulled up in the parking lot next door in a pouring rain where we could see the bikes from the car. My granddaughter immediately stood up in the car. She saw the one she wanted from the distance after my son took her to 9 other stores before I told him that I had seen the tent sale the day before. We proceeded to run into the store. My son rolled the bike from the tent into the store because on the pouring rain. The look on her face was priceless. We bought the bike. You have to know your prices & what you're willing to spend. I went in there to buy some winter boots. I wanted warm waterproof boots and they had a few choices. The sales associate was able to guide me in finding the correct boots for me, by the criteria I have her. We bought our kayaks here this summer and we were happy with the service we received and the advice that were given. Their sales are awesome so watch out for them.
