“I recently cared for my 92 year old mother, following a fall at home, which resulted in a compression fracture of T7. During her initial visit to an urgent care, she received Hydrocodone for pain and an infusion of Fentanyl. She was discharged and sent home with Hydrocodone. By day 4, post trauma, she was still unable to keep down food or meds. I called Heartland, Tuesday, to ask for guidance. It happened to be Dr. Pul’s day off. I Ieft a voicemail, and struggled with what I should do next. About 30 minutes later, that voice mail was answered. I was offered a telehealth conference that afternoon. Dr. Puls, on her day off, initiated that call. We discussed mom’s delimma, and she came up with a plan of action. Darcy’s guidance altered my mom’s recovery. “We have been with Dr. Yu for almost 13 years for all of our kids. We are extremely happy. He is caring and always on top of everything. He calls us at home when we call and have concerns. I read most of the comments and while I agree that during the years there have been some rude staff and long waits (extremely busy office), Dr. Yu himself is awesome and pays attention. He never rushed us out and addresses every question and concern. I just hope there can be a better scheduling management to make sure the wait is not as bad. Most bad reviews are related to wait time or rude staff. Not fair to the Dr himself but I understand though that for many it is the whole experience including the office itself.”
