“Very nice trails. Beautiful park. The restrooms are very well kept up and clean always. We come here a lot to take a nice little hike with the kids. The trails are mild, so not too difficult but they are very hilly. Beautiful Butterfly Garden here as well.”

“Great location to visit and explore our nations past history. Also a great location for a nature walk around the paved walking track. Very scenic and beautiful sittings. Rounding hills, blue grass pastures and yes very old buildings to explore. Simply a very relaxing location that needs more people to come check it out.”

“I'm happy to report that the Red House Baptist Church actually used red bricks in the construction. Kudos. Unlike Red Roof Inn in Richmond where my review and photos clearly demonstrate false advertising.”

“This is one of the best places for meat, particularly pork. It's always fresh, and there's good prices. Their beef is usually good, but some of it is coming from Mexico. Chicken is about the same as other places. Everyone has always extremely friendly and helpful, and I love that I can get in and get out without getting lost.”
Address: 4375 Boonesboro Rd, Richmond, KY 40475, USA
“Being a fan of living history, I was thrilled to live near the fort founded by Daniel Boone. It was one of our first explorations when we moved to KY. The buildings are fun to explore, and the people portraying life are interesting to talk to. The video in the first building, though obviously old, is fun to watch and learn about Daniel Boone. At the original fort, which is just a stone foundation, my kids would spend hours playing. The playground, though fun, was not the main attraction. Whether you want to picnic and play, or get immersed in history, Fort Boonesborough is a great place to go.”
