“This is a classic southern diner. The food is simple but good. Pretty good pancakes. Great breakfast sandwiches, although the one in the picture was not toasted... Really good prices. You can get a lot of food for $10. Our waitress was new. She was very attentive and friendly but got the order slightly wrong. Overall very good service. Coffee is hot and comes often! I think the home fries are the potato to choose. I can never remember if it's home fries or hash browns here, but I got hash browns this morning, and they were soggy, not crispy. Good breakfast spot!”

“Was in Louisville and wanted to grab dinner on my way up to Cincinnati. Came across the Charcoal Restaurant on Google when searching for food nearby. I will say this is by far the best tasting grilled chicken I have ever had. Grilled on a charcoal oven, the smell alone has you nostalgic! We ordered the half chicken plate that came with two sides and the chicken shawarma sandwich with fries! The seasoning on the fries was phenomenal! The chicken marination and crisp charcoal taste will keep you drooling! I am absolutely amazed by the quality and presentation! Must try! 5 stars!”

“First off, the online ordering and kiosk pickup is wonderful. I ordered the food and requested a future time. When I arrived I went in to the lobby, scanned my barcode on the kiosk and boom; the door opened and there was order, hot and ready. I was in and out in less than 30 seconds. Sure beats waiting in a line and hanging out in waiting for your food to be prepared. Many places could enhance their customer experience by using this model for pickup of online orders. It had been a while since I've had Little Caesars pizza but wanted to try the Batman Calzone. It was pretty good but it seemed too salty and garlicky for my liking, but I still ate a couple pieces. The cheese bread was great but also seemed super salty and garlicky. I still ate a couple of them. I'll be willing to try again unless that's how they are all made. The price is right though.”

“Didn't really know what to expect as only one top ten BBQ in Louisville lists even had Martin's ranked. I know of the one in Charleston, but didn't eat there on our last visit. So....wow. The whole hog pulled pork so incredibly moist with a little crunchiness from the skin. What great flavor. The brisket was also super moist with added flavor from the barq. Still learning about what types of wood are used in smoking, but maybe this was oak smoked or maybe hickory? The fries were good and held up the whole meal. The baked beans had some spice which made it more Texas style. They were good but not my favorite. They have several sauces, I had the vinegar based sauce as well as the spicy sauce and sweet sauce. All sauces were great. These sauces were all thinner in consistency which I don't normally like, but these were really good. I didn't try the mustard based or Mayo sauces. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. They have a private space for parties or you can pony up to the bar. GREAT BBQ. EDIT: After three days in Louisville and four BBQ restaurants, Martin's was overall the BEST. This place deserves more attention!!!!!”

One thing is certain, the chili dogs are the best ever, homemade sauce and onions are what I like. French Fries are made to order, never soggy like fast food places. The burgers are hand shaped and are cooked when ordered. There are many other items on the menu, I am plugging what I like to eat. I have tried other items on the menu and have never been disappointed, ever… I think this place deserves a Big shout out actually, that’s why I am taking time out of my day before I roll out and get some food for the family. For small town eats, this iconic part of Lawrenceburg is the best around.”

The ambiance of the store is relaxing and comforting. The walls are decorated with colorful signage and beautiful menu items. You can grab your item to-go or stay and have it in the store. All of the drinks are amazing but My favorite item on the menu is the Green Smoothie! Also I like the Allergy Shot in the summer time when my allergies are going crazy. They tend to get busy, as ANY fast food restaurant does so sometimes there may be a small wait for you to get your items. But it’s well worth it. The staff works really fast to get you your order. Also they offer online ordering so if you’re ever in a hurry I’d suggest that. But all in all. I love this place! Give it a try!”
