The beer selection is large enough to find something you'll like but not overwhelming. They let you sample them as well so you don't have to be afraid to try something new. The atmosphere is great. “It's fine. Live music was good enough, ~50yo rock, $5 cover. Moderate selection of drinks- maybe 10 beers on tap and another 6 bottled. Roughly half a dozen available liquors (whisky, vodka, tequila, no rum). Food(BBQ) was solid. Restroom is clean. 2 dart boards, looks like they can be used when there isn't a band. Nice patio area. I could see this being a good bar for regulars- especially if they knocked out the middle wall, to open it up a bit, and added a pool table.”

“I've been coming to Durango's for 30 years. It is by far THE BEST Mexican food in Lexington and most other places I have been. Their steak is tender and bursting with flavor. Their queso is amazing and the few chicken dishes I have had have been good as well. Dinner seems to have a better chef compared to lunch, so I suggest dinner. The rice and beans are amazing too. Most restaurants have flavorless sides. If you order anything, I recommend the burritos supremos. Oh and the sopapillas is muy delicioso! No other Mexican compares to them. Try it! You won't be disappointed!”

The restaurant was very clean and the food was delicious with generous portions. The day we were there, they had a table "reserved" with 13 glasses of water for the U.S. servicemen that were killed in Kabul, and that was a nice tribute. I always try to make at least one stop at a WH while we're traveling, and I just wish we had them up here in Michigan. Then again, the restaurant is a "southern thing" that most northerners wouldn't appreciate.”

Not only is "The Fudge" (our term of endearment) a staple for the locals, but because the charm of this historic drugstore has been lovingly restored, it's a mandatory pit stop for many tourists as well. I've recommended it as a perfect first date, with interesting menu items and an atmosphere that evokes a surprising joy from the moment you walk in.
