They are friendly and the atmosphere at the marina is the best on the island if you're looking for a place to have a good time during your stay at the island. There is always something going on on the weekends at the marina weather its a band or DJ, even a fireworks extravaganza for 4th of July. The grill at the marina has great food at a very reasonable price. If you're on the island and looking for a good time, check out grand isle marina. You won't be disappointed!”

“The hotel assistant manager( Bobby) was Very accommodating and able to make availability for me at such a short notice. As a travel nurse sometimes shifts get canceled at short notice. He was very resourceful and allowed me to check in at a fairly early time after being on the road for hours. The facility offers a gym, very clean and very welcoming I feel like I’m at home. Housekeeping was very nice as well. I highly recommend this place and anytime I’m in the area this will be my choice of stay every single time. Book here you will be very impress.”

“Grand Isle state park is one of the Louisiana beachfront vacation destination. This place is perfect for Summer time weekend gateway. “The room was big and had and refrigerator and great shower pressure after a long day of work. The owners are kind and will try to accommodate any request and even do laundry for you, which is great when you are traveling and don't have the daylights hours to do it yourself. The owner even helped make accommodations in a different city just to help me out. It is not the Hilton, but the price is more than reasonable and the owners are compassionate fair people that are a willing to help when they can. Get place for a person who is in construction, railroad, lineman, or trade skill and the company is not footing the bill and you have to pay for your own expenses. Thank you very much!”

“I stayed here for 6 months while on a travel assignment and I absolutely loved it. The park manager, Shawn and his wife Leeann are the nicest people and they go out of their way to take care of the park and the tenants. The park is clean, quiet and I felt safe while staying here. There is a laundry unit on-site which is always kept clean by Leeann (she does a great job and puts a lot of effort into it!) and Shawn was always available to get quarters from which was so convenient. I had food delivered here on a few occasions and no one ever had a problem finding the park. I loved that I was close to everything but it wasn’t directly in the middle of the city. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend anyone to stay here if passing through or staying long term in New Orleans!”

“I have been here for about 2 months now . We ended up coming down from Illinois to help restore roofs from the hurricane . They wasn't any hotels open and we were unaware so ended up by a camper . We were also unaware that the camper leaked so bad so have a tarp on roof and they didnt mind; a few others wouldn't rent to use because of the appearance and we have a family of 4; 2 very handsome little boys . And they have been beyond wonderful people so nice .I'm so happy we choose here to stay.”

“I’ve been on a few guided trips for different things, this trip by far was one of the best. Guides, Deck hands and Owner all work with you hand in hand to make you have the best time in the swamps. First night water conditions were not great, but the second and 3rd night they found us some great clear water in a different location and let me tell ya it paid of doing the 3 day trip instead of only booking one day. We knocked off plenty of species on our bucket lists👌 Get with Cody at Extreme Bowfishing if you wanna have one of the best experiences of your life and make some great friends.”

“We stayed there for a short getaway and found the facility and our hosts very inviting. There is a lot to see and do in the area and they made sure that we knew where to go. Cressy House is just 200 feet from Lake Ponchartrain where you will see beautiful sunsets across this 24 mile wide lake, and sunrises as well if you are an early riser which we are not. The waterfront offers a scenic place to stroll, enjoy the view and people watch. David and Laura Cressy are very welcoming and we felt like old friends before we left. The room came with a very comfortable bed, private bath, delicious home made muffins and a fabulous jar of marmalade from her sister-in-law's kitchen. You will enjoy yourself at Cressy House. We will definitely go back.”

“Great place to stay if you are looking to just relax. It's geared more toward workers needing a long term stay. Area is very safe and there is a gate. Bait shop is fully stocked with whatever would be needed for area fishing. Staff and owner are terrific. If you are looking for a new fangled type campground this is not for you. There is no pool or playground . There are residents that live there that are friendly and helpful. It has the feel of South Louisiana in a quaint lil village. not far from many excursions....close to Baton Rouge and about an hr from New Orleans. with many things to see and do in the surrounding areas.”
