“I love their menu, the freshness of their food!! I just brought my mom for lunch, we shared a order of onion rings, the perfect blend of battered rings, without feeling like you just consumed 5 lbs of fat!! Then we each had a very delicious salad! “After several visits, I have yet to be disappointed. The ribs are the best around. The lasagna is some of the best I've ever had. The calamari is excellent. Good drinks. The place is always packed, but we had reservations, and no long waits. Reservations are definitely a good idea. -------------------- Tonight's entree was wood fired chicken. It came with veggies from the fire and clam chowder. I was expecting some exotic flavor in the chicken, but it was just chicken. Good chicken, with no unusual flavors. The veg, eh. The clam chowder was outstanding, as always. The calamari was good, per usual, but skip the pesto that comes with it and get their cocktail sauce. Her penne pasta (I can't remember the name of it) was spicy and very good. It also comes with soup or a salad.”

“Grand Mere has been a family favorite for so long. I finally got to experience it for the first time and was not disappointed at all. I had the escargot appetizer, mushroom soup, and the walleye special and my husband had the duck with peppercorn sauce. Everything was delicious and the entire staff were very friendly, attentive, and fun. I can't wait to go back when I'm in the area again.”
