“I’ve been hearing about Silvio‘s for a while from a couple of friends, so we decided to give it a try. It is uniquely situated in the corner of Bush‘s supermarket, but don’t let that fool you. It has a separate entrance and has a very quaint atmosphere. For those who don’t know, Trattoria represents a family run business in both the kitchen and the front end of the restaurant, with homemade food. As we were seated, we noticed a gentleman in the back cooking and making pizzas and found out later that he in fact was Silvio, making the food with his own hands. Our waitress was of course, family as well, and told us that every item on the menu is made from scratch. And it really showed! I had lasagna, which was absolutely fantastic! I would’ve liked a little bigger piece, but it was great. My wife had salad and the Michigan ravioli, which was very unique and tasted wonderful. The salad was presented beautifully and included artichokes and other specialty ingredients which made it beyond ordinary. We definitely plan to visit again!”

“On May 14, 2026, a local near Michigan Central Station recommended an ice cream spot to me. Craving something sweet, my friends and I made our way over, only to arrive right at closing time. As we approached the entrance, co-owner Ruth kindly gestured that they were closed—but then opened the door just to hear us out. We explained that we had come based on a local’s recommendation and fully understood that we’d have to return another time. Moved by our story, Ruth invited us inside to at least say hello to her husband Tom, the other co-owner. We stepped in, just to show appreciation and let them know we’d respect their hours and be back. To our surprise, Ruth and Tom generously offered each of us a scoop of ice cream—letting us choose our flavors—and welcomed us with warm, genuine conversation. We talked about Detroit, the auto industry, Michigan Central Station, and more. It wasn’t just the dessert that made the visit special, but the hospitality and human connection they shared. Their kindness and the overall experience were truly remarkable. Ruth and Tom embody what it means to go above and beyond for their customers. I look forward to bringing others back to enjoy not only the delicious ice cream but also the cozy, inviting atmosphere they’ve created. The shop is family-friendly, with plenty of nearby parking, a clean and bright interior filled with natural light, and a welcoming space perfect for relaxing, meeting neighbors, or playing games together. “I’ve never had a bad experience at Knight’s. Food is always fantastic (steaks always cooked correctly) the drinks are very big, and the service is always fast and friendly. “It's like a modern day cheers. The staff is friendly. All the customers in there they're all talkative and nice their respectful. They got a really good menu. My wife and I enjoy the Friday menu there's more specials on that. The average age range in there appears to be mid 30s and up. We're in our seventies and enjoy the people up there. “This was our second time at this Kimchi Box location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Both times we got Bibimbap with Bulgogi in the hot stone bowl. The hot stone makes some of the rice nice and crispy. We also got the Soy garlic wings and sassy fries both times. The wings are the crispiest delicious wings I’ve had in a while and they’re a decent size. The Seoul Chicken Sandwich and Fried vegetable dumplings are also winners. On our most recent visit, they had expanded some of their offerings that aren’t on the menu on the website yet like Chicken Katsu, Gimbap, and Miso Soup to name a few. We will definitely be back to try some of their new offerings as well as our current favorites.”

“We had our wedding at the Washtenaw Golf Club and it couldn’t have been a better experience! Donna our event coordinator was absolutely amazing- she was so friendly, organized, and extremely responsive and helpful with my 1 million questions as we planned for our big day. She made sure everything went so smoothly and we’re so grateful for her! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous (our wedding was in mid May). The gazebo outside was lovely for an outdoor ceremony, and the reception space was perfect for our wedding (100 guests), the food was great, staff was friendly and professional, golf course was beautiful as a photo backdrop, and the getting ready spaces for both the guys and girls of our wedding party was wonderful! I can’t say anything negative about the Washtenaw Golf Club. Thank you all so much!!”

“We decided to try Locri pizza vs others for lunch on our way home from camping and we are SO GLAD we did! We tried 4 extra large pizzas for our group of 10 and only had two pieces left! We had the half pepperoni, Buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, and BLT, and loved them all. My personal favorite that I will be craving forever is the Buffalo chicken- it was perfection. We ordered the pizzas to go (to make it fast) and arrived to eat them inside and they provided plates which was wonderful. Schedule this for lunch on your way out from camping- you won't regret it!”

“We came for a bite to eat. It's located at Anderson and White Lake Road in Clarkston. When you walked inside, the aroma was so good. It's got a nice menu with a lot of different items to choose from. Creamy Mac and Cheese, nachos, Buffalo dip, and other choices. Variety of craft beer, Michigan craft beer, like Bells, American beer IPA's. We had the turkey burger with avocado. Rice & beans. I had fish and chips broiled, with a vegetable (at no extra charge) and seasoned (and very crispy) french fries. Both entrees were deeeeeeelicious. Beeeeeeutiful outdoor patio with a fireplace, pleanty of seating, and even an old fashion swing. The flower arrangements outside are so colorful. It's like you're at a villa. We definitely left feeling very satisfied and full.”
