“Camellias is a great Mexican restaurant. One of my sit down plant-based go-to's in Royal oak. They have authentic Mexican food, along with your standard TexMex so there's something for everyone. I find food pricing to be reasonable for what's provided. They have a bar inside that always seems to have someone at it. And the dining room is busy at dinner. Food has always been served quickly and has ordered, they don't seem to be bothered by special orders. I'm on a plant-based diet and I've never had a problem getting my food served plant-based, even having them substitute salsas for cheese. The servers are friendly. I've also ordered food to go, and even had them provide free soda water to me when I was waiting for my order. The restaurants in a residential neighborhood and I wondered if they would make it, by providing good food good service at reasonable prices it looks as though they're thriving.”

“I've been eating at Chicken shack since I was a little child. In fact it was my first real job when I was a teenager. The best part about it is the consistency has always been there! They serve the best broasted chicken I've ever had. I would recommend the ribs and cod as well. Don't forget the Cole slat! My kids also love the chicken bites as well. Everyone loves chicken shack it is also great if you are having a big party or banquet have it catered.”

“The first time I was here - about two months ago, I wasn't a huge fan. Cold food, did nothing to fix my order. But when I came back this time my experience was much more pleasant. Awesome staff and it seemed like they had a different manager who was far more attentive and involved in the every day customer interactions. Plant burger was really tasty! And overall much better! I come from retail and food myself so all of this meant a lot to me.
