It connects to both the Rock Hollow and Hamilton-Carr trails. It's quiet and mostly shaded.... Beautiful! There also a hiking trail that's accessable from Al Foster that we'll go back to try. Rockwoods Reservation

Address: 2751 Glencoe Rd, Wildwood, MO 63038, USA

Park

“We did the Trail Among the Trees on a very nice February day. It hadn't rained in a few days, so the trail was nice and dry, but there were a few spots that would be a mess after a good rain. Most of the trail was narrow but paved. There were a lot of interesting stopping points, including several overlooks with benches. Toward the end of the trail, the pavement ended, and we walked down into an old quarry, near a large creek bed. The rocks were covered in a thick layer of deep green moss, but there were enough bare spots to climb on. Understand the rocks was a cool cave-like area just big enough to climb into. There is also a closed off cave toward the end that was interesting to check out. You can't climb in, but it's still worth climbing around & adventuring around.”

Broemmelsiek Park

Address: 1795 Hwy Dd, Defiance, MO 63341, USA

Park

“My visit to Broemmelsiek Park was a refreshing and enjoyable outdoor experience. This expansive park, nestled in the natural beauty of O'Fallon, MO, offered a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The park's well-maintained trails, picturesque landscapes, and various recreational activities made it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts like myself. I had a fantastic time exploring the park's offerings and immersing myself in the tranquility of nature. Broemmelsiek Park boasts a network of scenic trails that cater to different skill levels. Whether you're an avid hiker or prefer a leisurely stroll, there are options for everyone. The trails wind through rolling hills, lush fields, and peaceful woodlands, providing a diverse and picturesque experience. The park's natural beauty was a major highlight of my visit. I was captivated by the serene lakes, wildflower-filled meadows, and the variety of wildlife that calls the park home. It's a haven for birdwatchers, and I spotted several species during my visit. Broemmelsiek Park offers a plethora of recreational activities for individuals and families alike. The fishing lakes provide an opportunity for anglers to unwind, and the picnic areas are perfect for enjoying a meal in the great outdoors. Additionally, the park's dog-friendly trails allowed me to bring my furry companion along for the adventure. While the park's natural beauty is its main attraction, some visitors might find the lack of facilities a slight drawback. There are restrooms and picnic areas available, but additional amenities like water fountains or food concessions could enhance the overall experience. Although the trails are well-maintained, some visitors may find the trail signage a bit confusing or insufficient. Improved and clearer trail markers would be helpful for first-time visitors, ensuring they can navigate the trails with ease. Broemmelsiek Park is a hidden gem in O'Fallon, MO, providing a refreshing and enjoyable outdoor experience. The scenic trails, abundant nature, and diverse recreational activities make it an excellent destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil escape. While some additional facilities and improved trail signage could enhance the overall experience, the park's natural beauty and diverse offerings make it a wonderful place to spend time outdoors. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Broemmelsiek Park and will definitely return for more outdoor adventures in the future. Whether you're seeking a peaceful hike, a relaxing picnic, or simply a moment to connect with nature, Broemmelsiek Park has something special to offer.”

Bluebird Park

Broemmelsiek Park Off-Leash Dog Area

Address: 1795 Hwy Dd, Defiance, MO 63341, USA

Park

“Without a doubt the BEST dog park in the area! It's free and absolutely massive. The grounds are well taken care of and the lake is beautiful - there's also a dock to practice dock diving! We've never had a negative experience with anyone else's dogs either. Owner always seem to be attentive and mindful of how their dogs are behaving. The area surrounding the lake is a combination of pebbles and then a very large grassy area for the dogs to play in. They replant the grass as needed and just re-seeded earlier this year towards the front of the park. The lake is also clean and free from any weird algae or other growths. There are always tons of tennis balls and lots of dogs there! I'd recommend this park even if you don't have a dog because it's such a blast watching everyone else's pups run around and play in the water. Just make sure you wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet/messy, because there are A LOT of wet (and happy) dogs here. Be ready to book a bath afterwards or visit a self-service dog wash to clean up your pup/s. :)”

They are all open at varying times, so plan ahead accordingly.”

Address: 1419 Kathleen Dr, Wentzville, MO 63385, USA
