Harvey Oaks Park

Address: 14948 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE 68144, USA

Park

“Good neighborhood park. Primary upkeep is done by the city, but the HOA also does a lot of work keeping the park nice. On the South side there's some walking trails in a lot of trees, the center of the park is backed up to buy houses, and there is several playgrounds in that area, and then the far north side of the park by Shirley Street, has a huge hill perfect for sledding, as well as, a baseball diamond and two tennis courts.”

Pacific Meadows Park

Address: W Papio Trail, Omaha, NE 68118, USA

Park

“Nice park with quiet walking trails. Good place to walk your dog or baby. Decent playground but it's a Little bit tall for toddlers. Still plenty of sand and other things to keep the kids busy. They like the walking trails as much as the park anyway”

“My kiddo loved walking over the bridge to enter the park. Lots of area to run and two separate playgrounds for little kids and bigger kids. The park shows some wear and tear but it's pretty well maintained!”

“Beautiful park and a hidden gem in west omaha”

Parkside Park

Address: 14120 Pine St, Omaha, NE 68144, USA

Park Gas station

“Tucked away and winding throughout a suburban neighborhood, this might be the strangest urban park. It's home to great horned owls, eastern screech owls, hawks, turkeys, flickers, various woodpeckers, dozens of songbird species, mallards, wood ducks, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, and foxes. Some days you may also see a bald eagle. Other folks have seen a woodchuck around. The trails wind through several sections of park with varying wild and maintained areas. It's just a weird, wild place in the middle of the suburbs.”

Trendwood Park

Westwood Heights Park

Address: 12334 Seldin Dr, Omaha, NE 68144, USA

Ridgefield Park

Address: 12771 Hamilton St, Omaha, NE 68154, USA

Park

“A group of us arrived in a small bus + were allowed to park in their driveway. This is a home amongst others in a neighborhood where one can see what is possible. Just because one may do away with a lot of mowing the yard doesn't mean the workload is less....maybe even more. One advantage I remembered for myself was I didn't need to be strong enough to wrestle with a lawnmower but I could sit in an area to weed or tend to the plant's care. An older, retired person who loves flowers + the outdoors would be well suited to have a yard such as we saw. About the place itself, it's beautiful even after the heafty rainstorm the night before. Another immediate thing one notices is the lovely fragrance of the Rose's. The information about the marrying of roses to create a new breed is astonishing. And all this beauty was created by one who before that first plant was put in (probably) knew nothing about Rose's. Ridgefield is well worth the admiration one cannot help feeling. Thanks to them for making our world prettier.”
