Fire Canyon / Silica Dome

Beautiful lookout viewpoint, It can be directly reached by car, which is convenient for families with children and the elderly. Also Silico Dome trail is close by, easy walk it take average 25 minutes to complete the trail.

If you have an hour for a short-ish hike, you can't do better. Incredible scenery and variety. The "slot" is super cool. Hike is on sand, basically, so take that into consideration in choosing footwear.

this is the second time I have come here! I just love the views, vistas, hiking, large number of bathrooms throughout the park. I feel that the pandemic has caused the visitors center to be a true letdown!! Still worth stopping in. Each time I come I see things I didn't see before. Don't forget this is where some episodes of original star trek was filmed in places here. Which are marked as such. Lots of parking areas photo area, and camping areas too. Cost is very low in relation to many other parks near by too. Lake Mead is also very close.

If you do not have time to go to the Grand Canyon in Vegas, go this place. You can admire beautiful valleys and canyons made over a long period of time.
