About 4 total parking spots here. This trail is a scramble especially just after a rain. It doesn't matter which side you start on of the wash, you can make a loop out of this. It intercepts the Fire Wave trail but the colors are far better here.
We're full time RVr's focused on hiking. Blog link in my bio.
Easy to find if you’re using google maps since it’s already marked. If not you can find it as the second dip after the 4th dip sign once you turn up valley of fire. Parking can be difficult depending on how busy it is and it appears that the are trying to discourage people from entering at this location but there isn’t any formal signage telling you that you cannot home in this way. Hike in the wash towards fire wave and you quickly come to the canyon. Hike another 5 to 10 minutes down the wash and you’ll come to the bottom of the fire wave. A beautiful area and fun easy hike. I’d love to see it become part of a loop with the fire wave trail.
Nice trail. You can get a small hiking like antelope canyon (antelope canyon is much better than thus)
Technically you’re not allowed to stop here since it you can’t park on non designated parking spots. But it’s the best POI of the park!
A short walk through the narrow canyon. The canton walls have all these different colours. It’s amazing. The best spot.
If you continue walking you end up looking at the Fire Wave. Absolutely love it.
You can also get here from the fire wave trail, but that would be quite a hike!
Tried to get here but the rain the day before made the narrow passages impossible to pass without destroying my shoes. The colors were amazing from what I could see. Will gladly come back to hopefully see more.
