Lodging

“What a great transformation from the old tides hotel. We’ve lived next door for 10 years so saw the whole renovation. while Tides had its own charm, you can’t deny the upgrade in everything. We decided to go for some drinks on a weekend and got some delicious cocktails. The inside looked clean and bright with the huge windows installed and overall a cozy, welcoming environment. Poolside also was is a huge upgrade and I’m glad to see they are using the back grass area for additional seating. The staff was amazing and friendly. Looking forward to many afternoons at The St. Laurent and can’t wait to try the food menu next time!”

Paradise

Address: 101 Asbury Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712, USA

Night club Lodging

“This club is great. The music was fantastic, the DJ that night (James Anthony) is the best. The club was clean, the drinks were good, the bartenders do a great job. Security shows a good presence and is friendly to patrons. The club is no pressure, no one bothers you, it's a good mix of people, both men & women. We had a very enjoyable night. The Copper bar is nice too, smaller of the two clubs inside the Empress. The bar outside by the pool is great too. They grille hot dogs and hamburgers all night. Just a great chill club. Highly recommended. Good prices too.”

Oceanic Inn

Address: 201 6th Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712, USA

Lodging

“The Oceanic Inn is a pretty good motel a block from the shore. The location and parking were great and the room was basic but had much of what we needed (beds, bathroom, shower, mini fridge, table and chairs, internet, though we didn't test the tv and didn't see an iron or hair dryer). It seemed shabby and outdated but clean. For those just needing a place to rest it's great.”

Hotel Tides

Address: 408 7th Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712, USA

Lodging

“Hotel Tides had a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very polite and friendly. We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby and swung by the Hotel Tides bar afterward, before heading to bed. The bartender made a really good dirty gin martini. A unique place to stay at a reasonable price.”

“Sea.Hear.Now Festival - Plenty of parking around town but you might have to walk a bit to get to the entrance. Once inside, this was a great festival! Three stages, a fun line up. Saw Blondie, Ben Harper, Incubus. Lots of port-o-potties. Plenty of space for all the people. On the beach, the boardwalk, the grass. Decent drink selection but, all over priced. Lots of food! I recommend attending!”
