“Cozy & quiet beach on the bay away from the crazy ocean beach season. Went on a Friday afternoon and it was $7 per person. Age 62 and older can buy a lifetime beach pass for Shelter Cove and Ortley beach for $15. There were 2 volleyball nets set up, a parking lot, and convenient bathroom on site which I didn't use so I cannot describe it. There is not a concession stand on site so you will need to bring snacks and drinks, unless you drive out to the highway for lunch and go back. Mostly women with small children, but very well behaved. The swim area is roped off and there is a lifeguard on duty until 5. It's definitely a great place to relax by the water without the craziness of the ocean beach crowds and traffic.”

“No restrooms. My dog loves the doggie park but our visits are limited due to people who don't follow the rules. I have a small dog. Inevitably, the large dogs end up in the small dog area. That has become an issue for small dog owners whose fur babies are terrified. Better enforcement of the rules is needed.”
