“There's a new bubble & fruit tea and a dumpling and noodle eatery and it's right smack 'em in the middle of Freehold Raceway Mall's food court. How exciting this was as we went by and saw another addition to the places to eat in the Freehold Raceway Mall food court. Being new, many people were curious and ordered bubble and fruit teas, including myself. What I like about their teas is the drinks are made with real milk and not with powder, like some places. They also use real tea and not tea flavorings. Their toppings 75¢ which includes the typical bobas such as tapioca boba, mini crystal boba, strawberry bursting boba, lychee jelly, mango pudding, sweet cheese foam, and my favorite, herbal grass jelly. It was fairly busy being new so it helps if you have an idea of what to order by the time you get to the front. They also serve food. They have typical dumplings, and I was most surprised by their golden buns. They served that with condensed milk dipping sauce. In case you were wondering, golden buns are their crispy fried dough buns. That will set you back about $6. They also serve Bao combo meals where you can pick 3 or 4 items and that will cost between $11 - $13. It comes with a main entree and two sides. The service is fast and efficient but in terms of the food and drink. I do welcome them to the Freehold area and wish them much longevity and success. You can earn 20 points when you join their loyalty rewards program. So what does that entitle us? 80 points = $5 discount.”

“I have been visiting Mama Estela’s probably 2-3x a week since I discovered them while shopping down in Bridgewater. I have tried nearly everything on their menu and have never once been disappointed. My go-to order is chicken tacos, but I also really enjoy their quesadillas and burritos. I especially like that they use pulled chicken, rather than diced (this makes for PERFECT quesadillas). Pro-tip: their guac is fantastic, be sure to try it on tacos sometime. Also, they are great with allergies and dietary restrictions. No nuts are used in the kitchen and their beans and rice are vegetarian. Service is great and everything I’ve ever ordered has been ready in under 10 minutes. Make sure to check their Instagram @/mama_estela_foodtruck to ensure that they are open before heading to Bridgewater or trying to place an order. I would also recommend calling in orders ahead of time so you don’t have to wait. Their phone number can also be found on their Instagram. My only hesitation when ordering from them is their use of styrofoam, which isn’t very sustainable.”

“Well my order was incorrect instead of white hot chocolate with whip cream I was given white mocha iced coffee with whip cream. That turned out to be a secret blessing because I used a free giftcard and they were out of small cups so I had a medium size for no extra charge. The accidental replacement was delicious. I also ordered the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, my first plant based impossible meat and I must say I was impressed. Great replacement to standard meat. It was served hot and the bread used was of very good quality. The employees worked the front counter and drive through pretty effectively and the wait was not long. Thanks for the upgrade. 👍”

“Last night we ordered a take-out from Jamaican Empire (located in East Trenton, between North Clinton and North Olden avenues) and we are happy to report that the food was good. The oxtail stew offered in medium and large sizes, and there is a wide variety of choices (two choices per order), from fried plantains and mac & cheese to white rice, rice and peas, or steamed vegetables). The most popular side usually served with oxtail, steamed cabbage, is served by Jamaican Empire as steamed veggies, with addition of corn and carrots. The prices are cheaper that at most of the competitors (large portion is sold for $20 through GrubHub vs $27 or $29 offered by other Jamaican restaurants in the area), the food was good, the proportion of meat and sides very decent.”

“This is something you need to know. A hot dog/sausage combo is under $10 and it's 100% worth every penny. Another thing you need to know, the sandwich comes with a lot of the potatoes in the wrapper so if you aren't CRAZY hungry, don't order more potatoes. I ordered more potatoes. They were too good to stop eating and I was full for days. The owner was very friendly and was short staffed the day we went so he cooked up some of these potatoes for us to try and dropped a plate for free out of the window. This guaranteed that we were ordering more, smart move. This sandwich is gigantic. A half of this sandwich is enough for any normal person to be more than full. Easily two meals for around $10.”
