“I had my vehicle break down at the very edge of Southeast Albuquerque while I was on my way home to Tijeras. I had no help or way of getting a ride from a ride service or from family with my car battery dead as well as my cellphone also dead. It was about 10pm and as our last resort my boyfriend and I started walking to the mountains. We finally made it to Tijeras and thankfully Sheriff Cordova and a couple other Sheriff's were at the station. I asked for a ride to my house and Sheriff Cordova was more than happy to help. He was so respectful, understanding, and kind which was really needed especially after walking in the cold, windy weather from Tramway all the way to Tijeras. I'm happy to know that Sheriff Cordova and all of BCSO are keeping my community safe but, also care enough to go out of their way to make sure that we're safe even when it's not a violent, chaotic, dangerous, or life threatening situation. So thank you Sheriff Cordova and the rest of BCSO. It's truly a breath of fresh air when it comes to law enforcement and to know that there are good people like you doing what you do. “Nice clean open space - you can opt to loop the old airfield up front, stroll along the flat paths on either side of the irrigation ditch (many homes along this section are pretty fancy with horses, goats or llamas), or head down to the trail in the Bosque along the Rio Grande. Contrary to other reviewers’ reports there IS a Bosque trail. From the parking lot head straight across the paved section of the arroyo, cross the ditch path, and go down to the left (heading north). There is no river trail to the right (south). The river trail goes in a loop, part of which is wooded and part of which parallels the river more closely a with a couple of offshoots that will take you to the river itself. This is a really nice section of the Bosque, especially in the fall when you often can see lots of Sandhill cranes and Canadian geese. The trail is never crowded.”

“Arrived at 0530 for a 0600 appointment. Guard took about 5 minutes to process my BOL, only to tell me that there weren't any doors available, and to park in their lot until they called. Shortly after parking as instructed, a lumper approached me and told me to go to a door, which I then did. Unloading was fast and payment processing was prompt. I left with bills in hand at 0715; one hour and fifteen minutes after appointment. The staff I was met with were quite nice. Not all that bad of a facility, in my opinion.”

“This is a school where every student can accomplish great things - if they want to! Recent Marshal scholars were AHS grads and they have a strong success rate with an amazing mixture of students - and they are a Title I school. They have a great Honors & AP program open to any student who wants to try and a strong music program. Their Mock Trials Teams almost always go to state - this year, 2 of their teams made state finals. Their Soccer program is tops too. The administration and teachers have always been very receptive to my parent concerns. There are super strong teachers, and weak teachers for sure - every school has this. Any issue I've had with teachers has been dealt with successfully. My kid is getting top scores on PSAT and we are very satisfied with the decision to have him attend AHS. Is it perfect? No. But it is a good, public school with a great history and tradition. It is very close and accessible to the CEC, UNM, CNM for concurrent enrollment opportunities too.”
