“This rental and host was rated as a super host, I booked on Airbnb, I've never used Airbnb previously. From the moment I booked out stay the host reached out with the most inviting hello, giving ideas of things to do in town, answering any questions. Seth made our stay feel like we were at home. This rental is beautifully crafted with unique decorations, plenty of sleeping space/linens. A full kitchen and coffee bar, a relaxing backyard/patio for a night sitting by the fire pit making s'mores. The owners went above and beyond in the details and amenities they provide. It was a great stay, I would definitely book here again. Oh and the view of trees/mountains all around the home is breathtaking! Thanks!”

“My wife and I were traveling north and stopped in Ellicottville for lunch. We wanted to try a new place, so we checked out 12 Gates of EVL. And we were so glad we did! What an incredible space. The manager was super friendly and eager to serve us. The selection of beer is impressive. I had the Peruvian Porter, which was tasty. My wife had a sour, and she enjoyed every bit of it. We ordered the brisket nachos. So good!! I highly recommend 12 Gates of EVL.”

“My friend and I stayed here this past weekend for a girls ski trip. It was our first time staying at a BnB and it exceeded our expectations! Deborah and JY are the kindest and most welcoming people, it felt like we were staying with family. The common spaces and rooms are very clean and well kept. There is also a hot tub which was a bonus. Its the perfect location if your plans are to go to Holiday Valley. It is only a short drive up the road from all the shops in Ellicottville as well. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious and was fun/ different. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Saisons Inn and will definitely return for our girls trip next year! “Booked a couples massage and infrared sauna session. The sauna was the first service and once it was complete, we were told to get into robes and wait for our massage in the lobby. We waited over 15 minutes, undressed in robes while people walked passed us constantly. It was very uncomfortable. If the wait was going to be in a public space for more than a few minutes, it would have been better to be informed so we could wait in our own clothing so we didnt feel so exposed. Janet and April were wonderful massage therapists though!!”

“Very nice Tim Horton's with many booths and tables, a TV, and cozy (artificial) fireplace corner. Nicely decorated for the holiday season. Staff were quite busy with a long drive through line, but managed to process us officially. I got a small hot chocolate, everything bagel with chive and onion cream cheese, and a sour cream donut. All very good and up to best Tim Horton's standard. Bathrooms also very clean and smelled like cake batter.”

“After traveling 2 hours, I arrived at Holiday Valley for a wedding only to discover that I mistakenly brought a suit that fit me about 20 lbs ago. While the selection among men's clothes is spare, I was able to find two virtually new dress slacks that fit without alteration. The owner was helpful in determining which pair would go best with my jacket, shirt, and tie. She kindly steamed out the few wrinkles, and at a very reasonable price, I was soon on my way. “The Ellicottville Fall Festival has always been the highlight of October for me (as an adult type person) So much to see and do that weekend! it is a very well organized and well conducted community affair that draws an amazing crowd of of all kinds of folks! Venders galore selling arts and crafts and antiques and boutique consumables and I love the restaurants and bars. I drove a bus load of 20 something party kids down from Eden on a Charter, dropped them off at 3 pm, then met my wife for a bite to eat at the Depot, Walked into town and did some Christmas shopping and viewed several dozen art booths and patronized a couple of shops until 7, then she went back with her goodies and I waited for the Birthday party crew to return at 10:30 and got them back home (while dodging the occaissional Deer needing to cross the road. OY! had to bring the bus back to the yard and sweep and hose it down from the spillage of party liquids and b-day cake, then back home to unwind and get a rock solid sleep! I'm looking forward to getting back down there again for some of the best downhill ski runs in the East!”
