“Place was outstanding. Service was exceptional and the portions were very large, probobly gained 10lbs because it was so good I kept eating even after I was full. I've heard of footlong hotdogs but didn't know about the huge footlong sausage. The staff was very pleasant and were very attentive. Surprisingly the place wasn't packed but it was 3:30 on a weekday, I can only imagine this place is jammed on the weekends and evenings. If you haven't been there I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out for yourself.”

“Had two meals from here while visiting from out of town. I went for breakfast one day and had the breakfast sandwiches, which I got sausage and steak ($3 each). Both are well made with egg and cheese on a Costanza roll. Also had dinner one night and ordered their supreme pizza (large, $16.99). It was loaded with toppings and delicious. They had other food options that I was interested in as well for food and would definitely return to try more of their dessert and salad options. This is also a little market store, so you can do a little convenience shopping while you wait on food. Prices were more than reasonable as well.”

“I asked my neighbor for a pizza place that delivers to Pekin, since I don't live here full time. He said Tallarico was good. So I called and ordered the Ultimate pack, a medium pizza and 10 wings. It was supposed to be $25. It turned out to be $26.39 plus $2 for an extra ingredient? I wasn't aware of the $5.09 delivery fee, such an odd amount. So with tax, it was $35.75 and I gave him a generous a 30% tip because I didn't have to go out and get it! I got a pepperoni and onion pizza and 10 mild wings. I had no idea that they don't put much sauce on. I think I was craving pizza for the vitamin C in the tomato sauce, which was very sparce as others have noted. They told me 45 minutes. He was at my door almost EXACTLY 45 minutes later! 😻 The wings were HOT but sadly, the pizza only mildly warm. 😿 I wasn't overjoyed with the amount of pepperonis but not upset either. The quantity of onions left much more to be desired. I was happy with the amount of cheese on it! I REALLY like cheese and didn't even think too make it'extra'. Thankfully, I didn't have to!🥰 Even just warm, it tasted good. Yet, I would have liked a few tablespoons more of sauce. I don't like sloppy pizza where the toppings fall off in the box, but a little extra so it's not all baked into the crust is best. The wings were great! Oh yeah, there's no substitute for true Buffalo wings! They just don't know how to make proper wings in Colorado! Deliciously crispy skin on the outside with delightfully juicy meat on the inside! You have to get the traditional boned wings here in NY! In Colorado, you get bone out because they're just glorified chicken nuggets tossed in seasoning! But I forgot, that here in NY they come with blue cheese dressing and not ranch dressing with celery and carrots on the side, as we do in Denver. My bad on that one! All in all, I enjoyed the food! I would have liked if napkins came with it. That's another east/west difference I suppose too. At least I know what to ask for on my next order!! I thought it was a little on the pricy side since it didn't comform to their posted price. They should have disclosured the odd amount delivery fee, which was going to be paid but I'd like notice that it was built in. I paid by credit card upfront so I could include the tip and not have to do it at the time of delivery. Apparently, Franco's is big in Tonawanda but I thought this pizza tasted better. Being out in Pekin, where food delivery restaurants are a little scarce, I'm happy to find a good one that has other items I'll be ordering in the future! And, if my siblings start acting like human beings, maybe I'll even invite them back to grandma's house for a pizza party!!! A certain VERY HOT place might have to have the ice blizzard of the millennia for THAT to EVER happen, however! Life's too short, order pizza instead!”

“The food was delicious and plentiful. Our waitress and hostess checked on us frequently. We were offered indoor and outdoor seating. Having chosen the indoor we found it to be quiet even though the restaurant was full. We chose the Saturday night special of prime rib. Cooked perfectly, the seasoning was perfect as well as the crust on top. We both had the french onion soup and agreed it was also delicious having had many bad versions of this in the past we savored it, even scraping the crusty cheese off the rim. They gave me a double serving of vegetables since I was not interested in a baked potato. My husband and I had been staying in Niagara Falls and found this gem because all the restaurants of this caliber were totally booked. We had visited Lockport to do the Erie Canal tour and since it was only a 20 mile ride checked out Trip Advisor to see what restaurant might be offering the menu we were looking for since we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We plan a return trip to Niagara Falls and I anticipate a return visit to Shamus.”

Also the Owner and bartender were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I travel for work so the owner allowed us to see their room that they Air BnB and it was a great room for an incredible price especially with it being so close to the lake in a popular location. “My friend and I went there for lunch. We chose the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich and each had a side. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the sides of coleslaw and broccoli salad were also good. We were also given a complementary sample of the Brunswick stew, which was a little spicy but tasty. The restaurant has been redecorated and has a very homey atmosphere but is small with limited seating. There is also no table service. The only drawback I felt was that they use disposable bowls for the sides and serve the food on a paper-lined tray. I would have preferred actual dishes and silverware instead.”

For a catering business, I am satisfied on how the food is prepared and presented (Comes in sturdy foil pans and individual packaged utensils). The food is good, and neutral tasting to please everyone's palette. I really enjoyed the sausage and peppers/onions, as well as the baked chicken. Last night,, I had a special; a burger melt with bacon jam and onion, very good. Others had beef on weck and Cajun catfish (pictured). Our waitress was amazing (I think her name was Levi), very kind and attentive! The bartender was also very nice. Dining room was decorated nice for Christmas, which my daughter loved. But when you look on the website and press order by phone the prices are so much lower. Between 3-4$ more than the website! Beware! And there is an older woman that is very rude to customers! “Love this place, loved the third and fourth generation family members that are keeping this institution going (for over 99 years), loved the food, and I love the atmosphere. If your looking for great food that is fresh, look no further. I loved every bite of my pierogis (tried all four types) and the cabbage roll (soft and tender). The pierogis will ruin you for other pierogis, and that’s okay, get ruined. I washed my dinner with a bottle of Tyskie pivo (one of the tasty Polish beers that is carried at this establishment). I cannot wait to come back to dine at this place in the future, thank you for keeping this place going and producing such quality food. Make sure you have cash or your ATM card (an ATM on site) as credit cards are not accepted.”
