“I vividly remember the process of buying my last car here back in 2017, a used 2014 RAV4 XLE. I remember I walked in mentally preparing myself to do what I call “the dance” with a sales associate. The stressful back and forth negotiations, fighting the pressure from them to make a decision on the spot, respomding to the probing questions like "SO what do you do for a living" in casual conversation knowing it’s just them getting an idea of how much money I had to spend, etc. But to my pleasant surprise, none of that happened. I remember not feeling the pressure I was expecting to feel while talking with Brett. It was so refreshing to not have to deal with the questions and the probing. So when it came time to once again buy a car, I didn’t hesitate to shoot Brett an email. Brett is the exact opposite of everything I hate about car dealerships and car salesmen. He isn't pushy, he isn't manipulative, he doesn't pressure me to make a decision, and he doesn't use those God awful cheesy car salesmen lines like "What can I do to get you in this car today?" People don't respond to those outdated tactics anymore and it seems Brett knows this. Make the customer feel comfortable and the transactions happens naturally. I showed up for a test drive, he threw me the keys and said he'll be here whenever I get back. We talked numbers a little the first day, communicated through email throughout the week, and finally when it came time to crunch numbers and get to negotiations the next week, he was patient and didn't try to sneak things in without me noticing. He didn’t move numbers around to make it look like I was getting a deal when I really wasn’t, he didn’t try to fill silence with small talk while I looked at numbers and jumbled things around in my head. I was allowed to think about everything and I like that. I got a very fair price for my trade-in and I once again felt like I got what I wanted without being taken advantage of. The negotiations went smoothly and the whole process felt laid back, straight forward, and quite frankly, painless. As a customer, being allowed to think clearly and look at options and numbers without the pressure from sales associates makes all the difference in making smart decisions. It’s for these reasons I specifically go out of my way and drive 30 minutes from Albany to buy cars here instead of going to the Toyota dealership just ten minutes from my house. Brett is the only sales associate I will deal with going forward. I bought my last car from him, I bought my new car from him, and I will buy my next car from him. He also receives my referral for anyone looking for a new Toyota. The drive is worth not having to deal with the “Let’s make you part of the family!” dealerships. “Let me start of by saying that I am located in southern NH and had been looking for the right truck that met my requirements. Initially found the truck listed on Cargurus, and noticed that it was located in Cuba, NY. I don't have a problem with traveling for the right vehicle, but the problem i often run in to with talking to dealers further away and out of state, is that they are very lax in getting me the info i want because i am out of state and nowhere near them. Jasper's Auto was a different story. I contacted Jasper's via the Cargurus email inquiry. Within a day I got a call from Jasper's colleague, Nate. Nate was extremely helpful in getting me every bit of info i wanted on the truck. He went out of his way to go back out to the truck multiple times, and even pulling it inside on the lift to take multiple pictures and video that i asked for in a very timely manner. At one point, i thought i wasn't going to get any more replies because of how much info i wanted from him. I knew the truck was right after all of this and drove over a week later on a Saturday to check it out. Jasper seemed honest in the knowledge that he had of the truck and the services they performed while owning it. The vehicle had bad windshield wipers and a front running light that was out. Jasper had those items fixed right there on the spot no questions asked. The running light was even delivered from the parts store nearby because he didn't have one in the shop. I looked over the truck outside, had them put it on the lift to look it over and plug it in. Took it out for a drive. Put the vehicle BACK on the lift to look over AND plug in again. Jasper had no issue with me scrutinizing it like i did and catered to my every concern. I traveled 8-9 hours one way to look at this truck and if they had not let me plug it in or scrutinize it like i did, i may have just turned around and left. Well after all that, we agreed on a price, and shortly after I left with the truck. It is a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic and a picture is attached here. Overall a fantastic experience with both Nate and Jasper, and would buy from again without hesitation. Thanks guys!”
