“I vividly remember the process of buying my last car here back in 2017, a used 2014 RAV4 XLE. I remember I walked in mentally preparing myself to do what I call “the dance” with a sales associate. The stressful back and forth negotiations, fighting the pressure from them to make a decision on the spot, respomding to the probing questions like "SO what do you do for a living" in casual conversation knowing it’s just them getting an idea of how much money I had to spend, etc. But to my pleasant surprise, none of that happened. I remember not feeling the pressure I was expecting to feel while talking with Brett. It was so refreshing to not have to deal with the questions and the probing. So when it came time to once again buy a car, I didn’t hesitate to shoot Brett an email. Brett is the exact opposite of everything I hate about car dealerships and car salesmen. He isn't pushy, he isn't manipulative, he doesn't pressure me to make a decision, and he doesn't use those God awful cheesy car salesmen lines like "What can I do to get you in this car today?" People don't respond to those outdated tactics anymore and it seems Brett knows this. Make the customer feel comfortable and the transactions happens naturally. I showed up for a test drive, he threw me the keys and said he'll be here whenever I get back. We talked numbers a little the first day, communicated through email throughout the week, and finally when it came time to crunch numbers and get to negotiations the next week, he was patient and didn't try to sneak things in without me noticing. He didn’t move numbers around to make it look like I was getting a deal when I really wasn’t, he didn’t try to fill silence with small talk while I looked at numbers and jumbled things around in my head. I was allowed to think about everything and I like that. I got a very fair price for my trade-in and I once again felt like I got what I wanted without being taken advantage of. The negotiations went smoothly and the whole process felt laid back, straight forward, and quite frankly, painless. As a customer, being allowed to think clearly and look at options and numbers without the pressure from sales associates makes all the difference in making smart decisions. It’s for these reasons I specifically go out of my way and drive 30 minutes from Albany to buy cars here instead of going to the Toyota dealership just ten minutes from my house. Brett is the only sales associate I will deal with going forward. I bought my last car from him, I bought my new car from him, and I will buy my next car from him. He also receives my referral for anyone looking for a new Toyota. The drive is worth not having to deal with the “Let’s make you part of the family!” dealerships. Every car salesman should be doing it the way Brett at Kinderhook Toyota does it. I couldn’t be happier with my first brand new car. I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Thanks Brett!”

“I am very grateful to Above All Automotive!!! Yesterday, my car lost power when I was driving on Route 17, just west of Middletown. I barely made it onto the shoulder before the car went dead. I called 911 and had the tremendously good fortune to have Johnny from Above All Automotive come with a flatbed to take care of my car. A woman, driving alone and broken down by the side of the highway, is a recipe for many automotive repair shops to take advantage and "talk down" to, stonewall on repairs, insist on unnecessary work, and price gouge. None of this happened with Above All Automotive. Johnny drove me to Enterprise Rent-A-Car and went in with me to make sure that a rental car was available. He and Jeremiah, the owner, had my car ready the next day (it was an alternator gone bad). Johnny picked me up at Enterprise so that I would not have to take an Uber to the shop. The repair was straightforward, the price was fair, and I was happily on my way. Above All Automotive has a credo of going above and beyond to help those caught in a tough situation. They work quickly and thoroughly; their communication is excellent and their prices are fair. I am so glad to have found them, and I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation. “Stewart’s needs more staff on each shift. Lately every store I head over to is dirty (inside and out), trashes are full, no food out, no product, nothing is fresh. I used to blame the workers, thinking they were lazy and didn’t want to work (kids on staff, newer employees) but today I came into this store and sat down for 2-3 hours & had a cup of coffee with an old friend. The workers here were running around & taking customers so quickly, but there were only. 2 workers and the store was packed the entire time. Scooping ice cream & cashing out customers left and right, leaving the store to pile up with filth. They were diligent workers and 5 star employees. Deserve a raise both of them.Customers became angry with the line and the wait but there was nothing these workers could do about it. Really needs better help with staff, Stewart’s should care about adequate staff to ensure higher standards in stores because it seems that standards have gone down significantly in the last decade. I’m 71 years old and I’m very disappointed with how these stores are being managed”
