“Good trails with excellent nature information boards along the way.”

“I mainly visit for the disc golf course. I've played here since about 2008 when it was still pretty rugged and had original holes. The improvements they've made over these last couple years is astounding. They have replaced broken signs, added alt baskets on almost every hole, and the course is once again easy to navigate. I think this course doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves. One of the more challenging advanced courses in the surrounding area, and it's almost never crowded. 2020 update: Getting better! They have reworked some of the teepads and added new ones from when they had to move the holes next to the apartments a few years back. They have done great work. The 'advanced' course has improved navigation and flow. Still one of the best kept secrets in NC.”

“An amazing trail that is off the path and without any traffic noise. It uses the cleared old railway line that ran through the area, so its an easy walk without any real troubles. Sometimes the main walking path in is impassable because of heavy rains or when dams further down the river leading to lake Jordan are opened. This doesn't mean you cannot walk the trail is just means you have to find another way on to it. There are areas around with homes you can park at and take to the trail. All the hassle is well worth it. Its a beautiful trail that is pretty clean, well shaded, and easy to walk with a ending view that makes the 5 miles (round trip) trail 110%% worth it. Not to mention its reportedly the largest summertime roost of bald eagles in the Eastern United States. If you have the time give this trail a try, you won't regret it.”

“Our very first time visiting this particular park for a church outing. The space was nice but, not enough parking accessible. Many of us had to park either at an empty church parking lot or on the grassy entrance. Otherwise, there is an area for fishing, walking trails, a baseball field, and a covered shed. Highly recommend for small family gatherings, cookouts, or even birthday parties.”

“Good playground for toddlers. Not a fenced/gated playground, so you actually have to be on guard for runner children, but still privacy screened which contains the children pretty well on its own. Picnic tables. Swings. Slides. And more.”

“Park has tennis, basketball and geocaching. This park is the trail head for the Third Fork Greenway. I really like the greenway in the morning as dawn arrives. Owls, deer and other wildlife more abundant than other areas. It is very peaceful with longtime regulars that I recognize over the years. The deer also make a loop in the afternoon around 12:20 by Cardinal dr so a lunch ride will often see the family having a munch.”

“Love the indoor pool. I take my daughter here to swim in the off seasons. The locker rooms and pool is always clean and free of debris. The front desk receptionists are always pleasant and welcoming!”
