“The physicians, nurses and other staff at WakeMed Brier Creek were exceptional when I was recently treated for a small bowel obstruction, that ultimately required surgery. One staff member, Jimmy, who works in radiology, went above and beyond the call of duty, and my husband and I would like to give special acknowledgement for his kindness and extraordinary effort on our behalf. My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic who had been by my side for hours as I was being diagnosed and treated for what had originally been diagnosed as gastroenteritis at another urgent care facility. We were referred to WakeMed for further examination. Because we are vegetarians, Jimmy went out of his way to get my husband some food in order to prevent him from having a low blood sugar episode. Thank you so very much, Jimmy, we were so grateful for your help at a very difficult time.”

“Only have been here for lunch, but Umami is fast becoming my favorite Brier Creek lunch spot. $11 for (very tasty) hibachi chicken... just a few cents more than other fast food hibachi places (and cooked in front of you, which can be fun). Typically in and out in under 45 minutes. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, so I'm a fan.”

“Burgers are great. Love the toppings. Only recommendation is a better takeout system. When you come in to place a takeout there is no place to wait. The night we arrived it was in the 30's out, so standing on the sidewalk for 20 minutes wasn't the best idea. We could have walked back to the car but how would we have known when I order was ready. We were told to move away from the bar so others could sit and eat / drink, and the dining room is small. Maybe one of those flashing things to let customers know their order is ready would be better than a number on a stick.”

“Found this gem while my co-worker & I were in town for a conference. As we walked in, we knew we were slightly underdressed, but it was no big deal. Our server was Mr Jim, who was friendly & extremely knowledgeable with the menu. I ordered the Broiled Grouper or was it Flounder, stuffed in crab meat with two shrimps. Our side was the asparagus & we split a wedge salad with a very fancy French wine to sip on. So fancy I forgot the name. Ha. This was one of the best dinners I’ve had this month & I now reside in Nashville, TN. They even have chocolate covered mints as you walk out... I highly recommend this restaurant. Service & food was top notch & I thought prices were fair for what we ordered.”

“First went here about a year ago for a traditional dominican live music party and fell in love with the place. They have a vast menu and the food tastes great, just like my mom made. The atmosphere is great. The Dominican music is on but still letting me here my wife with our indoor voices. The staff was friendly and eager to please us. If you stay and dine in, they serve your food on cool miniature pots for soups (ask for sancocho on Sundays great for my hangovers). I definitely am now a regular at this joint. Also ask about their flan my wife is born and raised in Dominican Republic and says its just like the one from home.”
