This place is worn and you can tell folks smoked here years ago- BUT that adds to the story. The scratch made onion rings are a value at $4.50. My starch made loaded potato soup and salad was a bargain for $7 - even the unsweetened iced tea was cheaper than the fountain drinks. The owner is putting some heart into what he makes. Don't expect to have it ready in a jiffy- each meal I made to order. This is what every neighborhood needs- a wide variety of draft option, a barkeep with a vast array of hard liquors and Great food! Our barkeep was so friendly and helpful- she engaged us on a personal level and Mae us feel welcome! I will return when I'm in the area again!! Don't miss eating here!!!”

We ordered the fish n chips basket @ 13.99 it had 3 thick cut pieces of Orange Roughy fish made with a thin crispy beer batter breading with Frys (Fry's were frozen kind). We both got a side salads 2.99, very small 1.00 extra for blue cheese dressing. I had fresh ☕ coffee 2.75, He had The Craft Brown Beer $7.00. Waitress was very nice & did a great job. Fish was very tasty.. $53.46+ tx$57.47bill $9.00tip”

While the food may lack complete authenticity, it is mostly well flavored. The jambalaya was the best of what I'd tried, with the gumbo being a bland rice and chicken soup (adding hot sauce helped significantly!!). A toasted bread on the side would add a tasteful balance, and allow one to soak up the liquid, sauced based dishes. Although not filthy, the well worn entry mat, with rolled up edges and the ceiling fan with Halloween level cobwebs hanging from the fixture, gives an overall dirty appearance. Overall, a nice little family owned place.”

“Had lunch with my daughter and enjoyed one of their fabulous burgers. Great diner I've been going to over 25 years. Country fried steak is also delicious. Don't go if you're in a hurry but everything is worth the wait. There's only 1 server so be patient. And in this day and age $17 not including tip is AMAZING!!! If you're lucky you'll have Brenda or Kellie as your server but they are all pros! Highly recommend!”
