“The room was nice, very clean, and quaint (others say dated), the guy working was very nice. We were able to watch a band playing on the water next door from the room that night, which was fun. My kid loved watching boats headed out in the morning. “I called camp HiYo to get a campsite for myself and my family to watch the eclipse. From the moment I spoke to someone I knew this place was special. They had created additional tent campsites to accomodate extra campers for the eclipse and these campsites were primitive. We knew it would be cold at night and they offered to run an extension cord from a nearby shelter house if we wanted to bring a space heater. Upon arrival we were greated by the nicest staff. Everyone was so friendly. Our site was perfect. Next to the pond and convenient to the shower house. The campground was clean and very well kept. While relaxing one evening our son was playing guitar and singing. Judy, the park manager asked him to come to the pavilion and play for the campground. He did and it was an awesome experience. All of the campers were so welcoming. Afterwards Judy invited him back to play any time. I can not say enough good things about Judy, her staff and Camp HiYo. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this wonderful place of relaxation to everyone we know. I can not imagine spending our eclipse weekend with any other people at any better place. Thank you Judy and Staff at Camp HiYo!”

It was very clean, and except for seeing the occasional pupper out for a walk, you'd never know it's a pet friendly establishment - no animal smell or pet hair in rooms/ halls. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially during a very busy weekend. 100% worth staying a bit south of Cleveland, absolutely will visit again.”

“This is a great place to live owners as well as neighbors are a tight net community if something is broken all it takes is a call if ppl are trespassing believe they will be caught its a perfect place for kids and family that only want to live and be left to there own devices the grounds along with the trailers are kept up regularly this is a place as long as you pay your bills Noone will bother you and you don't have to worry about things coming up missing or that unsavory type of ppl romaing around owners are understanding and respectful as are the surroundings neighbors have been here for years and look forward to many more in future no matter past transgression it has given me and my girlfriend a chance to thrive”

“Love this place. Restaurant is great and we love the breakfast buffet after an early morning kayak on the lake. I really enjoyed the animal show by the park naturalist in the lobby (11am sat)!!
