“I received a tour this afternoon by Duncan who was extremely knowledgeable and generous to take over an hour to give me a tour of the place and answer all my questions. He was an expert on the house and has clearly put a lot of work into curating the museum. I really enjoyed learning about many objects and the home’s history-there are so many cool things to learn and artifacts to see over a 200-year history. The grounds are beautiful in the middle of a busting midtown neighborhood. I was told a tornado did some damage to the gutters/soffit that will soon be repaired!”

The skilled nurses are not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate, ensuring that all her needs are met. I appreciate how well the staff communicates any changes in her condition and medications—it's comforting to stay informed. The entire team is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm environment for both residents and visitors. Every time I walk in, I feel the positive energy and care that fills the building. The only suggestion I have is to consider organizing more outings for the residents. The recent trip to the county fair was such a highlight for my cousin and truly made her year! I would love to see more opportunities like this in the future, as they bring so much joy and excitement to the residents' lives. Overall, I highly recommend The Laurels of New London for their outstanding care and supportive environment!”

“The splash pad is ok. Most of it doesn't work tho (at least it didn't when we went). The playground area is much nicer and worth the trip. There are two shaded pavilions with plenty of picnic tables for seating and there's even outlets there for charging your devices. The restroom was clean. There was also a baseball field, a walking trail, and a gazebo with seating. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The one downside we experienced was that a child (aged 9 or 10) decided to pull down their pants and poop on the ground near the restrooms and their parent didn't make them clean it up. That was our que to leave, so we did. Overall, it's a nice place to visit with your kids.”

“The place was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we felt welcomed. It was a birthday trip, I had called ahead and they decorated the room and even had a piece of cake in there for when we arrived for my Boyfriend. The bed was so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Heidi and Dan were all around amazing. The breakfast was delicious. I’m usually not a fan of new things but i tried the specialty breakfast both days of our stay and they were out of this world. We even forgot a few things in the room and they called and had them shipped back to us. We will be back.”
