“I am a camper there for the summer camp. It is an all girls christian camp. To learn more go on their website. The food is good. And the cabins are very clean as well as the bathrooms. I personally loved it because I felt very welcome it is a very comforting atmosphere. It isn't very expensive because all their profits go to the Mt. Gilead ministry. overall I loved it.”

The cabin was homey, warm, and nicely appointed, the walking path exceptionally beautiful, and it was QUIET. My first night was spent as a retreat for a small group of co-workers. It was perfect. The second, was just me and the husband... Need a mid-week getaway??? THIS IS THE PLACE!”

“I grew up going to Camp Akbia for many summers. I stopped by a while ago, took these pics and reminisced of the past. I always remember there something to do at camp. I loved the lake and going climbing. We had go carts and many sports too. This used to one of the premier Jewish sleep away camps in the north east. Shout out to Howard and Susan Gordon. Thanks for the memories. I miss Uncle Jay who ran the boys pool and tutored me for my bar mitzvah. I have a vivid memory of him Saying, “All counselors rotate, all campers carry-on.” I still have a color war song from more than 15 years ago stuck inside my head.”
