“The process to get a Real ID was seamless. We signed in using a QR code. Very simple. We received a text message when it was our turn and it was also announced out loud. The person who assisted us was Richard. Very polite, professional and new exactly what he was doing. The whole process took about 20 minutes from the time we walked in the door and signed in.”

“The shelter aint pretty, but Shay and the 'boys' do their best with a meager budget, and the pressures of "animal control". They became a low-kill shelter a few years ago. So, I support them the best I can. Adopted several cats, helped with placement, a little contribution now and again. I'm helping their critters. You should too. For example consider the sad stories of a cat or dog who one day finds itself in a cage, without it's people - often after a long life indoors - thinking they did something wrong - scared - lonely - future uncertain. Ponder that for a moment. Then act.”

“I've been all over the country and with the current state we're in, I want folks to know that Robertson County sheriff's officers, who I've had contact with on several occasions for personal reasons and criminal regarding others, have been nothing but respectful, conscientious, eager to not press charges or give tickets for things that can be worked out cordially. I personally got a ticket for less than I deserved for my poor driving but the officer was kind and understanding. I know sometimes they can't be, an officer's job is hard, harder than any of us could ever understand, but I personally believe if you treat these men and women with respect and the dignity they deserve that they will do the same. Kudos to you Robertson County.”

“One of the best hardware stores I know. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable and very willing to help you get your job done. Also, this store stocks incredibly high-end stuff and stands behind everything they sell. Stihl/Husqvarna power tools, YETI coolers and cups, top-shelf paints, hardware and fittings. Also, this is the absolute BEST place in the Hudson Valley to get chainsaw chains sharpened. I regularly clean up lots of trees on a lakefront property and this shop is always ready to sharpen as many chainsaw chains as I come in with and turn them around right away (usually within a few hours or so). GO HERE!”

“Decent recycling place! To save you time so you don’t have to go search their website: Currently they only accept cardboard, plastics #1-#7, and aluminum cans. I had to take off a star because they don’t accept paper products (though they used to) nor glass. The aluminum cans section also really needs a bigger container, it’s often overflowing. Also, the hours are pretty limited. I guess I’m grateful there’s even a recycling option in Springfield, where most recyclables undoubtedly go straight to the landfills, but it could use some improvements.”
