“Little over grown in some areas to get a view of the lake. Fairly easy trail, took the dogs got a few ticks. Good and shady in some areas too cool you down on a hot day. Lots of flowers and butterflies. Saw one green snake. Dog walked right over it with out a bother. Ran into one biker on the trail. Spent about 2 hours out on the trail. Make sure you bring water on a warm day it was 87 degrees while we were out there. Overall very enjoyable trail!”

“Terrific paved and unpaved trails of varying lengths were fun to hike. Saw 5 deer at different places in a 2 mile walk . The swimming beach is fairly large and is within yards of shaded picnic benches (mostly with covers) amongst trees. Bathrooms are convenient to the beach area. At about a half hour north east of Denton, this is well worth the drive.”

“Wildlife Encounter Nature Trail at Heritage Springs in Flower Mound is a superb trail to take the family to connect with nature. The trail ties in with Bluebonnet Trail in Heritage Park with Flower Mound Trail in the neighborhood north of the park. Not only do the trails in Heritage Park cover the whole park but there are animal statues at different parts of the trail with placards of information at each statue about said animals.”

“Bluebonnet trail at Heritage Park in Flower Mound is a must to traverse while visiting the park by yourself, with friends or family. On our third visit to Heritage Park we had the experience of walking a majority of Bluebonnet Trail. The family loved connecting back with nature and enjoyed looking at the statues of various animals along the trail, as well as the wildflower areas. Two pluses were a bench that overlooked a river and a public restroom is located at the end of Bluebonnet Trail near the Performance Pavillion.”

“It shrunk. When Upper Trinity Regional Water District I stalled their new waterline they took a swath of property close to the tracks. At least they left the playground. All the bushes and trees that used to be along the old fence line are gone now so the noise of passing trains is really loud.”

“I fell in love with this church a few years ago!!! There is so much diversity and inclusion here!!! It is so rare to see every walk of life from the very rich to the homeless sitting side by side in harmony showing each other respect and love!!! This is the healthiest church I've ever seen!!!! Thank you Pastor Rodney for all of your help, patience, and guidance!!!!”

“This is the hidden jewel of Hickory Creek! It's a beautiful lakeside park with a playground and restrooms. Lots of space to explore and enjoy lakeside living. The merry-go-round makes this park a kid's favorite!”

“We lived at Hickory Creek Park in a Motorhome for 13 nights in Dec of 2021! :) •Pros: Super spacious site (21) -- we felt like we had a part of the lake all to ourselves. This park is super close to DFW airport, so of course, there is air noise, but other than that it was pretty quiet! •Cons: The shore was super dirty! Some of our family came out one day and we decided to glove up & ended up filling three trash bags! •Highlights: We loved the beautiful sunrise and sunset views. One of our beach chairs stayed on the shore our entire stay. Nice spot for those who need to fly -- DFW airport is 20-30 min away! •Furbabies Review: Cookies (our dog) loved morning naps on the shore. •Our recommendations: Please introduce recycling to your facility! The Earth will thank you. Thank y'all for having us! We're off Livin' the Dream with Cookies & Cream. :)”

“The Pavillion at Heritage Park in Flower Mound is quite a large pavillion when compared to ones at other parks. There are two areas of the pavillion anyone can rent, six large tables, two benches and two grills to cool out on. The plus to this pavillion is there is a public restroom, a playground (Fort Wildflower) and a splash pad (Heritage Springs) all with in a short walking distance.”

“Truly am incredible experience from the moment we walked in until the moment we left with our new RV. Be sure to ask for Lou or Arthur to help help you. They addressed every question and concern we had. Super great guys. Scott was also amazing as he took his time to go over everything with us in detail, and he gave us some great recommendations.”

“The trail has really come a long way, and the hard work of the trail crew really shows. The signage is good, trail is flowy, and has a good mix of beginner and medium features. It's a real asset to the community and something every city should look to offer.”

“Nice park hidden away in the town of Flower Mound. Never knew it existed until a couple of days ago. Great place to just go and just clear the head and calm the noise. Great place for a couple of Instagram worth shots with the butterfly garden, the water sheds and the trees. Walk around the edge and just little to the breeze and leaves rattling in the wind as your eyes take in all the changing colors around. It was very calming. Just one note of advise ...watch your step. My wife was trying to get a shot of the garden and didn't notice a fire ant mound until she stepped in it. She was pretty quick to notice and only got a couple of bits but they hurt.”

“Gloria and Jacquie are both friendly and professional, caring for both the hearts and the camping needs of their guests. Daron and Tim are very conscientious and attentive to the needs of their guests and the care of the grounds, amenities, and facilities. When observing how well the team cares for each other and for their guests, it is understandable why this KOA has been honored the highest possible KOA award! We absolutely highly recommend this KOA as your short-term or longer-term home away from home!”
