I love the yeast rolls, fries are good too although can be cold as they tend to leave them out too long. “First time here this past Sunday, celebrating our oldest daughter's recent birthday. We had a very enjoyable experience for Sunday brunch. We were seated after a short wait, had great table service, and all the food was excellent with great presentation. We observed a lot of the other plates and drinks going to others around us and all of it looked good. On Sundays they only use their brunch menu vice the full one, but there was plenty to choose from and all sounded great. Three of us had the chicken and waffles with an unusual made-in-house sorghum-based syrup. Very good, and different. My wife had the triple scoop salad, choosing three different salads. She said they were all really good. The venue itself was great. We chose to stay inside due to the heat, but they have a nice deck looking out onto the trees toward Cypress Creek. They had misters going, and there was a breeze, so probably would have been okay, but will give it a try in the fall when temps a bit more moderate. We definitely will come back and try other items on the menu. Great first time visit.”

“Herbert’s is one of my favorite places to go for Tex-Mex in Central Texas. I’ve been coming here since 1980 and it’s definitely comfort food that I crave. The salsa they bring out with the chips is delicious. I live 45 minutes away but it’s totally worth the drive. The service is always quick and the quality of the food is consistent. Don’t believe the 1 star haters.”

The food was okay, there wasn't anything that really stood out to me to make me go back. The chips are good, the mushroom gravy was flavorful. The greenbeans with garlic butter were nice. The menu itself is pretty classic southern/American/Mexican. It was a hot afternoon, but they have plenty of misters outside to keep you cool. Overall, really good. Kind of pricey though.”

“this place right here, dans burgers, is the elite version of 5 guys. the burgers are delicious. the meat and cheese is fresh and juicy plus the light crisp added from the buns with some regular or curly fries on the side makes this an amazing bite. the prices are very decent and doable but be prepared to order based on what you want IN the burger. the ambience is great but i have noticed the inside of the restaurant is weathered and old. a quick remodel and these burgers will definitely take over the surrounding area as the to go spot”

“I’m just gonna start mentioning how friendly the staff were. How clean the tables and restaurant were and just a comfy feel to this Que stop in Dripping Springs. Operates mostly as a “build your own” which is total up to you. No planned plates and sides here. Pick your meats, choose your sides, and grab your beverage. We did turkey and pulled pork along with an impressive baked potato (which was topped with the pulled pork at the table) along with some vinegar dressed chopped slaw. We also sampled the Baked Potato Salad (honestly I should have switched to this) as it was warm and packed with flavor. Owner also delivered us a Piggy Tail or two yo sample. Wow, sweet goodness here! Take a slab of that on top of a maple frosted cream stick and you are gonna beg for seconds. Worth the stop, filled a huge empty spot for the long drive home. We will be back.”
