“This place exceeded my expectations. We ordered the boneless fried chicken and the fried steak. Both were incredibly delicious and I can't wait to try everything else on the menu! We went with home cooking this time. But the chips and salsa were so good that I really want to try the Mexican dishes. I highly recommend this place along with the peach cobbler.”

“Best lunch spot in east Texas! Great SW BBQ head chef plus family passed down true to Texas recipes equals food that I’m still daily dreaming about since I visited. The egg rolls! I heard angels singing!! The burnt ends, normally I find burnt ends way too fatty for my liking but these were cooked to a delicious perfection! And the smoke ring in every meat we had on the table was immaculate! I really don’t have enough kind words about my experience here. And yes it was an experience! The owner himself came out to meet and greet us while we enjoyed our feast, what a delightful, respectful and smart man he is. We talked about his trek to pit master, the amazing flavors in the recipes he is creating and how getting the buzz going out there for a must stop destination, my words- it is true!- is so hard to do, especially when most of the day is spent creating this menu that has me truly excited for! I’m so grateful that I found a true destination must go to BBQ place..if you are in East Texas, make a trip here. I promise that you will be thanking me. Get a bit of everything, it reheats beautifully!!!”

“V's Steakhouse was quite the experience! I have never been to a restaurant that put so much thought and creativity into its presentation. From the email we received and the way we were greeted upon entry, to the costumes worn and the presentation of the food and drinks, it was all so fabulous. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning another date next weekend! The rack of lamb is the absolute best I have ever had! The chocolate cake paired well with the espresso martini. I'm looking forward to our next adventure there. We enjoyed the walk on the dock after dinner. It was just as great.”

“Food was delicious! We had a party of 12 and over all everyone was very pleased. Some tried something new and wasn’t a fan and I also tried something new and absolutely loved it!! Mango salsa was soooo good! The views were so beautiful and if it wasn’t so hot we probably would’ve ate outside to enjoy it more. Wonderful little kids section our 2 year old twin girls were able to play. Would definitely return if Wisconsin wasnt so far away ☺️”

“It's a small restaurant with a nice and tidy environment. We ordered a chicken fried steak with sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes and a full lb cheeseburger. It was all really good. I wouldn't recommend the bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks because they were still frozen in the middle and had to be taken back. Apparently this happens often as the bacon makes it more difficult to cook through so I'd just stick to getting regular mozzarella sticks lol. Service was decent and I enjoyed my meal here, I will be back.”
