Ok, this is like visiting a resort style park. The sites are huge, perfectly layer out and flat with crushed granite, fire rings and heavy duty grills with lids. The showers were recently painted and so clean. We walked along the lake, and took the trails... one of the trails have rubber like chips that would be perfect for running or a wheelchair... we saw deer running by too. Staff were so friendly. It was so nice... it's like a local little secret... can't wait to come back
This place was absolutely beautiful! Some closures because of Covid, but trails are open. Kids play area is open . Water access is open. Camp site is closed.
Super clean with a short rubberized nature trail great for wheel chairs or limited mobility. We also explored some dirt trails that gave a view of the lake. I wish the park were less expensive because at $5 per person and no military discount I guess once will be enough.
Newly renovated, clean and spacious campsites. Restrooms are well-designed. We enjoyed the trail at the overnight area - Two Bucks is good for gravel bikes or beginning mountain bikes, and at .5 miles, great for a short walk after dinner. Lots of families with young kids, presumably because of the awesome kids playground in the day use area. Close to north Austin. We’ll definitely be back.
This is our very first time camping ever. It was a great place for 1st time. New large bathrooms with showers, Pretty quiet & great views of the lake after a short hike. We saw a grey fox and some deer, which is really nice. Downside is we could hear traffic in the early hours of the morning and dogs barking from the nearby homes.
