“No, this place isn't like other rock yards I've been to. I had a great experience, but I can also understand the reviews that claim differently. Yeah, the one on 71 looks smaller and less organized, the place is covered in inches of fine dust (it's a rock yard, but I've never seen that before) and there's a mountain of pallets in a corner that aren't stacked neatly and look like they've been there a while. That's not why I went there. I needed some patio stones and I did go to Whittlesey for my last set. What I got from there was about a half ton of the culled remains of a pallet with some smaller unusable broken chunks mixed in (I know - those don't add up to much of the total weight as they are smaller). I got better rocks from ASAP for a better price, and I didn't have to wait as long. I understand that personal experiences vary, but I had a good one here and walked away happy.”

“Just moved here from Rhode Island and second day my car decided to stall on the highway and all my dash lights came on. Not knowing anyone in the area I decided to call up here based on reviews and was not disappointed. Was able to be seen right away on the weekend, and the moment I pulled up had four guys immediately diagnosing and looking at everything to get me fixed up and on my way. My cylinder had misfired and spark plug burned out. Got the pieces needed, replaced everything and test drove it for me and now its working perfectly. “This Walmart fuel station offers easy on and off from the road. Station was very clean and easy to use. If you use Walmart pay on the app to get your gas you save three cents a gallon also. I recommend you get the app and then you link your card, so that you can save money every time you visit a Walmart gas station. Highly recommend the station for an easy visit.”

“One of the great parks in the Austin area. It is fairly accessible, with a good set of clear trails. The lake is the main draw, but the restored prairie is special and you'll find peace, butterflies, and other wonders walking that trail. On a colder day when there aren't many motor boats it's also one of the quietest parks, which, in addition to the prairie restoration, makes it a refuge for birds and birders. I know it can get busy here though, and folks are not particularly careful about cleaning up after their dogs or keeping them on leash. But this does not sully the natural experience, which is sublime.”
