“Consider the nature of a fast food restaurant as a transient space. People cycling in and out as quickly as the deep fryer will allow, attempting to consume their food with as much as haste as it was made. No one lingering to talk with the neighbors or greet the crew with more than a "good day." This has been my experience with McDonald's restaurants until dining at this particular location on Duke Street. First, I was taken in by the truly thoughtful customer service of the crew. They greeted me with smiles and were swift to take recourse when they accidentally delayed my order. As if the human connection weren't enough, when I took the time to admire my surroundings, I was amazed by the crisp and clean lines of the building's interior design. It was no wonder that signs were posted asking customers to sit for a maximum of 30 minutes. With an atmosphere like this McDonald's has, who would want to leave? I recommend this location wholeheartedly. On a trip to D.C. to see the White House or the Lincoln Memorial? Make it a point to stop here”

“First timer. Stumbled in on a whim searching for pizza by the slice. I think they said only Monday and Wednesday. Double check me on that. Anyway, they recommended a 10" pizza. I added two toppings for $1 each and a 20 oz coke zero for $13. It could feed two people so that's what I'll do next time. The staff was friendly. All of them. Indoor seating is limited to about 8 but there is outdoor seating too (in this cold weather? Pass! Haha). All in all I enjoyed my pizza dinner.”

“I love going to the Chart House. It is a very nice view, the salad bar is beyond fantastic. I come here once or twice a year. It is an investment for dinner but for your anniversary, birthday, or out of town guests it can be a really nice splurge. The last time we were here was with out of town company. We had crab dip and lava cake. I had cooked at home for them so that was a splurge on the way to the Kennedy Center for a play. Best of all my aunt bought. Nice surprise. Nice view. Stellar cake. Yum.”

“Very nice. The service was quick and pleasant. I love their egg foo yong. The magic is in the sauce. They give you plenty of rice. I usually save some rice and sauce for my eggs for breakfast. It’s tasty. Especially once I add some butter and pepper!!! And the price is very reasonable for the amount of grub you get.”

“We were on vacation in D.C. for a week and staying in Alexandria. We decided to Google places near us for dinner. Found RT's then decided to try it. Let me tell you we were not disappointed at all!! The food to die for, the staff treated us like family, the atmosphere cozy and all the deco amazing! We had drinks appetizers and dinner for 2 and it was the best meal we had and can not wait to go back just for this restaurant!! Please do yourself and your taste buds a favor and add this to your list of must tries!”
