“Let me start by saying by reading previous reviews I was skeptical about staying here. What I found out is something I’ve believed and do so even more now. People are way more important than what they believe they are. I’m not saying that there weren’t probably some valid complaints. What I have found here in two weeks of staying here is a staff that is friendly and willing to help with anything needed. I had an immaculate room and the linens plus towels were replaced when asked. The breakfast is what it is and the pool is closed. My only reason for not giving five stars is one staff member (quite possibly the manager) that has the personality of a rock.”

“Very nice hotel. The receptionist was extremely courteous. The rooms were very nice and clean. This hotel was pretty big and the hallway, dining room, elevator, etc. Were very clean. Very few minor flaws in the room, nothing horrible. But overall a very nice hotel and I would for sure stay here again!”

“If you are ever in the Chester, Virginia area you would do disservice by not dining at Brock's. The service was impeccable, the barbecue sampler platter was AMAZING! The barbecue sauce was so good i bought a bottle. The owner took time out the busyness of the day just to talk with our group and that spoke volume to the group.”

“This park and campground are immaculate and the staff is friendly and helpful. We liked the sites because they were spaced out with natural vegetation and trees providing a sense of privacy around each site. The fire pits were clean upon arrival and we noticed the staff actually sweeps out the landing pad area before each guest arrives. A real sense of hospitality welcomed us to this campground. We loved watching the birds each day - especially the pea hens making their rounds of inspection each morning! We'll be back!”
