“Found some interesting stuff as well as great staff, and the ability to openly trade knowledge! Enjoyed the time there.”

“Beautiful grounds showcasing some unusual trees. There is also a fun loop to drive with stops at Chestnut Tree experimental patches and a Cedar of Lebanon Alley. Those are both endangered tree types they are working to protect.”

“Nice quiet place for a walk or a slow drive. We usually encounter deer, birds, skunks and on occasion a fox or two. You should take it slow and enjoy the wildlife as well as the plants, ponds and trees.”

“The kids love this park! Proximity is key for us as there are two playgrounds as well as ample soccer fields, baseball, and softball fields all age appropriate. There are a few geocaches in the area, a walk/run trail around the park, and clean well kept swimming pool. The parks and recreational staff run a great program with many activities to include summer camps.”

“Can be a little hard to find for anyone parking there for the first time. But the parking is good and it offers direct access to the Appalachian Trail.”

“Hard to find but a great place to access the trail.”

“Great spot on the water, very crowded on the weekends. Camping is missing well maintained fire pits and playground needs maintenance. Bathroom with running water is far from the camping so most likely you will depend on portable toilets. Camping is mostly out in a big field with few trees.”

“Great idea in 2018 just did not come through. Bella Flec played solo to a big stage an Ricky Scaggs right arm was in a sling and only sang. Big family interest with camping....”

“One ot the best walking/running trails in the area. Especially in spring, summer, and fall. They mow interior paths among the heather and it creates a surreal landscape for kids. Lots of wildlife and flora to see. Free parking and is open until dusk daily. The road getting in is a bit of a mess (potholes), but it's worth it. It is a reclaimed golf course. Great for dog lovers.”

“Awesome hike! Hiked 4 miles in on the Appalachian trail route. Pretty rocky trails with a couple fantastic class-2 bouldering opportunities along the way if that's your thing. Tons of places to take a break, and some unique rock formations. Beautiful boulder river crossings with small falls. Ravens Rock was fantastic --about 2 1/2 miles in. Outstanding views of the rolling backdrop for such a shallow elevation. The inclines can get pretty intense at times if you aren't used to the rocky paths, with a total elevation gain of around 1600 feet. Get an early start, limited parking at the trail-head and trail can be moderately trafficked from 10:00 AM onward. Highly recommend. Totally worth it for the gorgeous view.”

“Raven rocks is a great hike. The trailhead is easy to find off route 7, though the parking lot is pretty small. But there is a larger lot to park at just up the road, but you do them have to cross the highway. Fair bit of elevation gain and loss over the 6 mile hike. Great view at the top.”

“This is one of the only places in this area to get an amazing sunset view, and you don't even need to hike very far. You can park at the top if you follow Blue Mountain Road to the visitors center. It's 3 dollars donation to park, but it goes to a good cause and you can avoid hiking uphill. They also have a primitive camping area near the parking lot. The castle also doubles as a hostel for long distance hikers.”

“Did the Raven Rocks hike. Highly recommend. About 6 miles round trip, fairly strenuous, with a good bit of climbing and descending. But if my 7 year old daughter cab do it, so can you! The view at the top is great, worth the hike.”
