Awesome place to close your eyes and imagine history being made in this very spot. Take a walk around, read the plaques, sit on a picnic table and enjoy the history.
The park is an up and coming treat to the area. It is still under construction but most of the work is complete. They have made a very nice facility for kids and adults alike. There is ample parking and easy access from Route 17. We are looking forward to see what will be done.
A nice quiet spot very few people find. It has both historical markers on both the American Revolution and the American Civil War and when I was there even had a cannon. Nice little pathway. The only problem is unless you knew it was there it was unlikely you would be able to find it. I only realized it was there because I could see the historical markers from the road. Also I knew that during the Battle of Yorktown there was some action happening in Gloucester so it made sense there would be some markers on this side of the river. What I didn't know about was the American Civil War action. Learn something every day!
