“04JAN22 ~ I had a wonderful dining experience with my oldest brother, this is his favorite 'go to' restaurant. This hidden gem in the Kempsville area is locally & family owned. It has a friendly, non-pretentious atmosphere. We went there for the Tuesday night 'Shrimp Special'. It was great. The shrimp were plentiful, large, tasty, and perfectly cooked. It comes with melted butter for dipping & cocktail sauce. The hush puppies & Cole slaw were also excellent. Our waitress, Stefanie, was everything I would want in a waitress. She was genuinely friendly with a warm smile, she was articulate/well spoken, helpful, and came by at just the right times, not too much & not too little. The prices were exceptionally reasonable. Whenever I go to visit my family in Virginia Beach we always eat there at least once per visit.”

“I love Sawdust Road. I will have to add more pictures next time but it’s essentially an old house so there’s a lot of different room and a wrap around porch. The owners are awesome and the coffee and food is always delicious. There is ample parking outside and kids are welcome. Support this small business and coffee shop in the Pungo area.
