“The room was very nice and clean. Location was great. There were a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was really great -- always friendly and greeting me. One, in particular, is the woman who I think was in charge of breakfast. She would always come around to make sure everything was ok. One morning, there was a gentleman in a wheelchair getting breakfast. She helped prepare his plate and even helped him with his food. I was very impressed by her above and beyond!”

“Wonderful, family friendly campground. Bathrooms were clean, freshly painted and well lit. Playground, basketball court and rec room was within sight from our site - a great asset for the kids. “When it comes to Mobile Home Parks, Derby Run is the several grades above the rest. Unlike some parks the speed reducers are fair and not the size of curbs. And the management are delightful. Many wonderful neighbors. Great for kids. Near not one but two 7-11s.”

“Two people we dealt with over the phone before arriving were a little rude. However, they put the note in for our accommodations as asked and were very kind from the moment we arrived. The mattresses looked brand new and the bedding was clean. I would recommend bringing your own towels and ice. The ice makers were gross but everything else was clean and comfortable.”

“I was very happy staying here! Great price and the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Big rooms with living room area. Within walking distance of everything you'd want to see. I will be coming back when I stay at Virginia Beach. While parking can be an issue, I have a small car it wasn't a problem for me. I didn't drive anywhere else while I was there. Just walked.”

“We’ve stayed at the White Marlin twice already and both experiences were amazing. The sweet lady who runs the place is always so helpful. The room was perfect. “We were very skeptical about staying here but we had a very nice guy for a receptionist. I explained my husband was allergic to cigarette smoke n they made sure our room was very clean. Bathroom was spacious. Our bed was very comfortable. Didn't see any bugs no mold in our room. We stayed on ground level. Air conditioning was good. Great location close to shopping near the beach and good restaurant areas. We could have used a couple more towels but we brought our own anyway but we had a great stay here”

“I had ordered a firearm to get sent to their shop but before I could even receive it I got tasked to deploy. While I was gone they held it for me until I returned. When I got back the first thing I did was go to the shop. The couple was sweet professional and knowledgeable. It seemed as though they actually cared about my safety. It didn’t feel as though they were just trying to sell me something. I appreciated the experience and I will definitely be returning.”

“I gave the hotel four stars because the room could have been cleaner but it really did not bother me because it's covid-19 you should be cleaning up before you settle in any way to sanitize for your own peace of mind one good thing I can say there was no bed bugs I checked the bed very good. I read in previous reviews that the staff had a nasty attitude I did not find that to be true the young lady at the front desk was very nice I think she may have been one of the owners she was very helpful even came over to my room to help me with my TV. The hotel is one block from the beach and one block from shops and restaurants. The swimming pool being outside and open was also a plus and there were vending machines and snack machines on the property. I also had a room that face out towards the water which is a lake very relaxing with two chairs and a table I enjoyed my stay.”

“Clean and quiet. Beds were more firm than I like but were pretty comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave in the room worked well. Good water pressure in the shower. The room was a little small, so not about an extended stay. But we stopped here for the night on the way to the Oz Museum and it was perfect!”

“The Owner of the store is very intelligent and hardworking. He set me up a time to come see him and talk about what i want. At first i thought ohkay well this probably isnt going to go very far but he blew me away with everything. He set me up A Coinbase account, set me up with square for my small business. He set up a whole slew of great investments that i immediately took to with ease thanks to his technical expertise into the markets, why theyre doing well, which ones are gonna stay, which ones to switch over if they start to shift. He taught me to watch the trends and patterns of a few, even went into depth about why each was important and how seemingly endless the possibilities are with a little more forethought than i was already trying to put forward. Anyways, all in all 5 out of 5. Thanks Matthew, been great and i hope we can do more collaboration soon.”

“I have stayed here several times and most recently being December 2020. The staff here are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, very clean, quiet and really comfortable. A wide range of up market bars and restaurants in the same district and close by the 264 interstate exit. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to enjoy a stay in Virginia Beach but don’t want the noise that comes from staying at the oceanfront.”
