“Truly a National Treasure worth visiting! They do offer a discount for residents of Williamsburg, though they do not extend that to neighboring counties, or state residents for that matter. (That's a shame.) They did not offer a military/veteran discount either. (That too is a shame.) We had a GREAT time on our Haunted Williamsburg tour, which took us inside the Wythe House, a side room at the Governor's Palace, and the Geddy House. Not sure if they use different homes year to year, but that would definitely keep it fresh and draw repeat business.”

“This is an interesting place. If anything I wish it was bigger, and more people knew about the life and contributions of Virginia Estelle Randolph. Wow, what an amazing lady. This is next to a school which also features her name, as well as a very large "Softball Complex" in Glen Allen. So, be careful not to speed. Also, it can get very busy if you come during a tournament. Note that there really isn't a lot of parking on the North side of the street, and her memorial is very close to the road. I would definitely recommend contacting them before you go to confirm hours and COVID-era policies and operations. Ms. Randolph was a pioneer on multiple levels in the community, and in education, she even created the first "Arbor Day" in Virginia. She should really be the subject of a documentary, perhaps several. Until then, check this place out!”

“Amazing site. It’s is a great history of the battle and the museums are great love the walk through a soldiers experience. The earthworks are a great walk and the recreated trenches are awesome for realization of the battle. It is a must stop for history people and non history people. The plantation and houses show the civilian life as well. And are just as important.”

I've been here several times, and it's a great place for photography. If I remember correctly, we took pictures here for one of my photography classes. When I visited today, I spotted 2 deer... so cute! This park is also very dogfriendly.”

We found a hidden gem that located on the 3rd floor of Torpedo Factory Art Center which provides historical stories in a quaint space. Not only that, it’s also can be an interesting short archeology field trip for certain ages kids. The museum gift shop available as the museum time. Come and check it out, you won’t be disappointed!”

“We came in off the freeway, looking for a brief diversion before our one evening in Charlottesville, and were blown away by the explosion of color, texture and emotion on display. What a wonderful surprise. Knowing nothing about Aboriginal art, we learned so much and look forward to learning more. Go now while the superb 50 Years of Papunya Tula Artists exhibit is on display. Admission is free, and the museum building and setting are stunning as well. A small but lovely gift shop tempts with reasonably-priced, unique items.”

“Beautiful monument and worth stopping to read about it on the information board posted along the river trail. The original windmill played a significant role not only for its function, but also as a landmark. Read more about it when you go visit!”

Tons of people, families, and dogs. A chance to see and taste several honey varieties and to see snakes, turtles, and hundreds of bees. The event, parking, and all kid activities were free. “Ripley's is amazing, it does make you think. The best of all for me at the age of 62 was the 4D movies, just the excitement of the moments. Listening to the kids. I hVe own been there twice a day will go back again. You truly have to see it to believe it or not. Williamsburg is a wonderful place to visit.”

“I lived close to this museum for more than a decade and only now I went in What a great modern exhibit that follows in chronological order the contribution that women did from the revolutionary war to today. What i really appreciated was that at every chapter in history there was a section that explained how society reacted and what policy and legislative changes occured. I also liked that this wasn't solely a celebration of the group endeavors but different soldiers where highlighted. Afterwards, i drove to downtown Petersburg to purchase a donut in honor of the donut lassies lol.”

“The Ferry Plantation tour was amazing!! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the history of area. My tour guide, Joshua, was especially awesome!! Very thorough in detail and passionate about the history. He made the tour very interesting by giving interesting facts about the lands that you’re not going to find in books. Hands down, one of the best tours I’ve taken on the east coast!!! I highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting.”

“Completely transformed over the last 10 years to focus on the Monitor as it’s prime exhibit. Includes the turret and a large number of artifacts, plus a full size model of the entire ship outdoors and a full sized model of the turret indoors. The real thing is there undergoing preservation for years with good progress, but you can barely see it since it is under water. Beyond that, it has a huge Americas Cup yacht so big that even its own building is too small, a few small boats that now have an climate controlled warehouse, and an amazing set ships models.”
