“Whipple creek regional park is a delightful place to visit either for a hike or a trail ride. If you do Hike, please remember to be mindful of the horses as riders trail through the park. The park is beautiful, and usually a few degrees cooler due to the cluster of trees and the stream. It's a good place for a picnic, or just a hike to clear your head. The paths are clearly marked, with multiple maps to direct you. Naturally, this park is out in nature, so expect bugs, expect uneven trails, expect to see some manure, and expect some up/down hill walking. The only concern I have with this park is the lack of care specifically dog owners have. Often, you'll see dog owners leaving poop bags behind or letting their dog off the leash, putting everyone in danger. I've seen dogs run up on the horses, which can cause incredibly dangerous situations. Please make sure you leash your pets.”

“Was really surprised with how beautiful the trail is. Gorgeous view of the river and even a little waterfall in the woods. 10/10 and I will definitely return. Fairly easy trail, great for families, however trail is a little overgrown at points.”

“It has auto gate controls Open/Close. There is a rest area with a paved short walking trail for birds watching. There is another trail about a mile long along the road but may not open during winter and spring time. During the winter, may see more waterfowls and eagles. At spring, there are more little birds.”

“Had some time to kill before catching a flight so decided to check out the refuge. Went for a nice long walk and saw a lot of different wildlife. They were working on a new building and parking lot while I was there that looks like it will be very nice once finished. If you enjoy nature and walks I recommend this place.”

“We love bringing our furry kid here to meet others and get his exercise. For the most part, the park is clean. However, there are a few who do not clean up their dog's leavings. Just watch your step!”

“Loved this RV park. We stayed in the month of March so very rainy, but the park was very pretty. Currently the bathrooms are closed.”
