“I got takeout and ate it in the car, and it was the best lunch I've had in months. I did the brisket plate which came with a side and a piece of bread. SO good. I am literally obsessed. I need to try the sauce next time! Don't be surprised if you see me here once a week or more! It is a little expensive, but it's worth it IMO.”

“So this is the new tradition. Go to yard sales in the morning and when you can't look at one more box of Depends or one more rack of generic glassware, I cut the treasure route and look for good food. Seriously though, I find great stuff at Yard sales and don't want to insult the Yard Sale Gods... Seriously. There is no better way to end a day of treasure hunting than finding culinary gold, preferably broth. Kindee Thai has that homey welcoming look that so many places lack. nice colors, nice decor, plants. I don't understand why more Asian places don't do this. sometimes it seems like a choice to be as bland and unremarkable as possible. Kindee makes me want to come in, it makes me predisposed to like the meal, although I have been tricked in the past. Today I choose the Kao Soi, I love a good light curry and I love noodles like a madman loves the moon. First, the crispy noodles seem to come rioting up out of the bowl like tangle of wisteria vines. They guide the eye down into the brothy depths. The next impression is the bowl is too big, the broth looks a little lost in the great bath of a bowl. It's an illusion, there is plenty, but they should put it in a smaller bowl so it doesn't look so lonely. That being said, it's a great bowl of curry broth. The noodles deep down in the murky depths are nicely mixed and have good lift. Long slightly tangled chewy noodles that simply cry out for a good slurp. The curry broth is spot on. Perfect depth and richness, savory and slightly sweet. I can eat here again. They ask if I would like a touch more heat and bring me a nice little selection of hot condiments. That earns them points in my book. I prefer a red chili oil and often, if a place has hot sauce, it's just one kind. Yes my nose runs like a dog escaping the animal control truck, Like an old tent in a rainy wood. But not so hot I can't taste the curry, the crunch of red onion, the fresh lime. Jeez, I'm making. myself hungry again just thinking about it. Right down to the last ever-loving drop. It reminds me of my adventuring youth when I kicked around Asia on a hope and a dream. For so many years after those carefree days, you could not find good Thai, or Vietnamese anywhere this side of the globe... The same can be said for tea. In those days if you wanted a good cup of tea you had to leave the country. Thank you Kindee for a great lunch.”
