“I really enjoyed this trail, and found it incredibly challenging, but that might have been because the weather was 80° on the day I went. There's lots of lose rocks and pretty steep inclines at certain points so it's definitely a hike you want to wear good shoes for and don't expect a leisurely stroll through the woods. There's also several side hikes and at times the trails aren't marked so gps is helpful.”

“Great local park, well maintained by the community. Allows for a brisk walk down to the beach. Overall a good place to relax by yourself or with friends/family.”

“Great swimming (life jackets available) , BBQ plus picnic areas, playground and fields! Minus one star because the high water pressure in the shower stings as you rinse off after swimming (required to prevent swimmers itch).”

“A relaxing little park. Grab some take out from one of the nearby restaurants and take it to the park. The fountains are the highlight and when it's warm, kids will be wading in them but there's also a lot of rock features and some great views. The city does a good job keeping this area clean. There is free 2 hour parking on 2nd St”

“I really love this park but people need to clean up after themselves. I also feel as though if you reserve a shelter and pay the money they should at least ensure that it is clean and has an empty garbage to use during your party time.”

“GREAT COURSE! Wish Colorado had an amazing course like this. Didn't waste time trying to find disks or tee boxes. Friendly people. I don't have any complaints other than the short time I have to play the course.”

“Nice views. It's a pocket park. Not slot of land. Stairs down to the shore are steep. The beach mostly disappears at high tide.”

“I would rate this 5 stars however some of the people that frequent this particular spot have urinated so much just by the parking area that that's all you smell on hot days. SMH. As well this place is equipped with a trash can emptied as far as I can tell, almost everyday or everyday. Yet people still insist on tossing garbage anywhere they want as well as cigarettes butts. The hiking trails are amazing lots of different trails to follow and the view of the water is excellent”

“We play indoor soccer here (kids and adults), but they also have a playground for the kids and an off-leash dog park for the pups. In the summer, we can play outdoor soccer and softball. There is a lot going on in this little neck of the woods!”

“Very well maintained trail system. Plenty of parking in a lot, rather than having to park along a side street. At the trail head there are picnic tables. The area is a covered shelter for rainy days. It is important to note that there is not a restroom or honey buckets here. Make sure you've taken care of that need before coming out to the preserve. The trail floor is laid out with plenty of bark, making the ground soft and helps to deter from mud puddles. There are many interconnected loops so you can decide how long you'd like to walk. In addition, trail markers are in red and posted at Y and T sections. You can enjoy gentle uphill slopes and meandering through the old growth trees. This nature preserve is quite a gem. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday mid morning. I spent 2 hours, did a larger loop for a 3 mile walk.”

“Probably the best place to hike near Silverdale, Bremerton, or Port Orchard. A person feels like they are in a state park. Great signage and tons of trails to see! Update: trail logged in 2020, not very nice now. Board overseeing park says in statement that it will be decades before users see improvement from destruction. “They are one of my favorite public parks, they have covered picnic areas for events, waterfront access, boat launch, bathrooms cleaned daily, a play area for children ranging in age so you bring little ones and active rowdy early teens, outlet plugs, ballfield, sidewalks that loop around almost entire park for those that like to walk, jog, or push little one in stroller, dog friendly(no off leash, leash law enforced but not strictly if dogs is well minded, "trained" and "responds well and does as instructed, and minds to himself unless invited, you can walk off leash and not worry.. people go fishing, have events, parties, kick back of the big lush green grass field, it's comfortable, easy going, and lots to do.. and they have been super tolerant and understanding my vehicle with problems and not easily mobile they have let me stay a night or 2 otherwise park closes at dusk.. I think I covered most of everything.. that comes to mind..”
