It was During this time I opened the hood on my car; The short time of doing a quick maintenance checkup is the same event where i had 2 friendly and local female citizens, stop to offer me a ride and or a vehicle battery jump. The waters are very quite and the place looks like a mirror. The lighthouse is small, but looks very pretty in the pictures too. It could be a good place for a romantic date too. “If you're looking for a getaway into Washington's mossy, magical forests, but don't have time to drive three hours east or west into our state or national parks, may I recommend Swan Creek? This is a park with plenty to do for those who love to get active outdoors. Mountain biking paths, kids interactive play area and an off-leash dog run. The best part is the secluded trails that take you far and away from the big city noise into the trees down to the river before bringing you back up to civilization. It's a fantastic way to take a break from the day to day when you need a reset with Mother Nature.”

Groth Nature Preserve

Park

“We love this hidden gem! We entered from the South as this map suggests, past the schools and parked on the East side of the dead end road where 2-3 cars can fit on the side without a no parking sign. There is extra parking at the school if you don't want to park on the north side (which is considerably farther from our house.) We walked through the field due North and fell in love immediately with this beautiful rainforest!!The rain was coming down but we were had a little cover which was wet. The paths, in turn were muddy since it was bare ground but well worth it. We loved the variety of plants trees, mushrooms and winding paths to explore. We are excited to put this vibrant, enchanted forest on our list of places we love to explore!”

Park

Golden Gardens Park

Address: 8498 Seaview Pl NW, Seattle, WA 98117, USA

Park

“Great destination to relax and enjoy with family and friends. Beach is small, not clea enough to enjoy in the water. But the park is huge, it’s great to just rest on the sand, grass, cookout, and play beach games. Small trails are also there, and it’s all easy trails. Cons: Car parking is a headache during weekends and when the weather is good. Very less parking lots, many cars parked in the “cars with trailers” zone because of poor parking facilities. There were more lots available but road was closed. Such poor management, they should open those roads and allow public to park their vehicles. #Seattle #Beach”

Elizabeth Park

Address: 811 14th St, Washougal, WA 98671, USA

Park

“There is a basketball hoop and a play structure. The swing set has 4 regular swings and 2 infant/ toddler swings. The park is fenced in and also offers a picnic table.”

Lake Burien School Memorial Park

Address: 1620 SW 149th St, Burien, WA 98166, USA

Park

“This is a great park in Burien. It may not look like much and then you realize its got everything you need and a spacious setting. The tennis courts are often busy there are two of them. The playground just got rebuilt and it is really nice. There’s an excellent walking path that is both paved and also loose gravel rocks for those who jog or walk. There is a big grassy green area or people have everything from picnic to volleyball games to romp with the dog. This park is in the middle of the beautiful Seahurst hood so even a walk around this gorgeous place is nice after or before enjoying the park. On Thursdays the City of Burien puts on a really excellent music concert called music in the park and it is a do not miss event in this great spot”
