“My fiancé and I tried La Oaxaquena tonight for the first time; immediately after our first bites we looked at each other and said “Our new go-to”. The owners are absolutely wonderful and personable, we adore them both! The food can’t get any more authentic; so naturally, it is absolutely amazing! The best Barbacoa and Carnita tortas we’ve ever had. AND the best lengua tacos we’ve ever had! We can’t wait to return to try more food and visit with the owners some more. We have official plans to be regulars for both the food and the awesome grocery options for when we cook at home!”

“Exceeded my expectations! Their fried perch on Friday night was phenomenal; the best fish I've had at a restaurant in a very long time, or maybe ever. It didn't have any breading on it, but was lightly coated and pan fried to crispy perfection, just how I like it. Their tartar sauce and cole slaw were also very good, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. We also enjoyed the mac-n-cheese bites. They were very accommodating. We sat down at 9:58 pm, unaware that the kitchen closes at 10. Our server offered to go check if the cooks could still make us something; we told her no, as we didn't want to make them work late. She asked anyway, and said it was no problem since they hadn't started cleaning up yet. Our server was great, and the food was much better than I expected from this type of place. The only minor downside was that it was a little noisy/echoey inside, I think due to the way it's constructed. But hey, it's a bar after all. I recommend this place!”

“Loved the sushi I got! Only downside was I'm allergic to milk and wanted to know if their spicy mayo had any dairy in it, just incase, and they didn't know. Got the roll without the mayo just to be safe and it was delicious. Only thing I'd say is having an allergy list would be helpful to let customers know what they should avoid if they have a food allergy. But on a positive note the food is delicious and the price is great for the quality.”

“Sandwich artist was willing to make entirely new wrap because it didn't fold all that well. That is willingness to satisfy customer rarely seen and was most appreciated, even though I declined the offer because I don't agree with wasting food. Sandwich was excellent, just had to be careful holding and biting the first three bites. Very minimal dropped away as I ate it. Am certain that next wraps were consciously better prepared.
